I'm curious about "Team America", the coterie of military guys and civilians surrounding him in Afghanistan. Only two are mentioned by name in the Rolling Stone piece: chief of staff Col. Charlie Flynn and Maj. Gen. Bill Mayville, who served as his chief of operations. Maybe there's a list in Hastings book, "The Operators"?

Maybe some are now part of Team McChrystal?

-Michael speaks with one of my coworkers (we work at a non-profit documentary house on international affairs) who was working for another coworker who was out on vacation. We were helping him set up a call to Islamabad to speak with 3 of our contacts for a drone documentary we are working on. He calls in and is VERY anxious and paranoid on the phone. He explains he's really unnerved about how he found something explosive on Brennan and the CIA. My coworker is freaked out and mentions it to our boss. This was 3 weeks ago.

I never really followed up on the Dr David Kelly situation, but this Hastings situation is unprecedented to me. Not including John, Bobby or Martin...but in recent times, say the last two decades, can anyone recall
a suspicious death of someone where there was such a strong, clear headed unified push to question the official story? Ie: traction, story with legs, so prominently and soon?

i've pretty much decided in my own mind that this is because we are supposed to know he was killed.
and we're supposed to know we can't do a thing about it.
sends a very strong message that "they" can and will do whatever they like to those who challenge "them".
much like the FBI murdering someone and not even bothering to cover it up.

THIS is exactly what I am starting to think also, they wanted us to know this was a murder and there is nothing we can do about it. It is indeed a message to everyone including the press and everyman on the street that we are entering a Brave New World and we need to get on board or suffer the consequences accordingly if we decide to try and fly solo or resist.

Yeap, that is what I think this is all about and Hastings was the symbol for the new generation, of one who stands up and fights and exposes it so he was in fact the perfect sacrifice for them to use to drive this point home and in to all of our heads.


Hate to be an alarmist my friends but things are really changing fast now and I know people have been saying that since, well, forever, but I mean it, things are really changing fast right now in the United States, a real shift is happening and they are "ratcheting" (thank you my new friend for the analogy) it up in a big way right now, I expect over the course of the next few months to a year that we are going to start seeing a lot of WTF moments and experiencing things in this country that we never thought or imagined would or could happen in America.

Yes and it is called the Franklin Project, those of you who know about the Franklin Savings and Loan Scandal should now have your minds effectively blown...They name it Franklin and it is about training and brainwashing children, they are just fucking with us, you know it, everyone knows it.

Also as you note he is with the Aspen Institute. Anyone recall this little nugget a few years back involving Lewis Libby and then imprisoned NYT reporter Judith Miller:

A note that Lewis Libby sent to Judith Miller upon her release from prison. Quote, "You went into jail in the summer," he wrote. "It is fall now. Out West where you vacation, the aspens will already be turning. They turn in clusters because their roots connect them. Come back to work and life," end of quote.

Some have taken that as an attempt to send Judy Miller a message, although exactly what that message is who knows.

This is about the third time in the last week that I have heard that MH had some real dangerous information wrt Brennan. I have not been able to find out from others or figure out for myself, what sort of information that could be. What do we know about Brennan in general, lets do the old RI inquisition and see if we can vet this guy inside and out, perhaps, collectively working together we can come up with a few reasons why MH felt this was a big story and why someone felt he needed to be killed because of the story. I really dont know much about Brennan at all, he isnt a household name by any means so I guess I better start digging, I have an extra shovel, anyone wanna join me?

Interesting. His friend Briggs said on Fox that the big story he was working on involved the CIA. Maybe Hastings was wrong about the FBI being after him, and meant CIA? Or some other sort of shadowy networks?
Perhaps he noticed clear signs he was being physically and electronically followed.

I think it's going to be pressure from varying sides. Empire Inc behind Obama, the right wing growing more radical and out of control, and then both domestic subservitude to the Apple/Google tech mind-gineering
as well as major tectonic plate movements around the world. (war/revolution/financial/etc wise) I've long contended that people need to be weary of a "racial experiment", a potential tinderbox moment to inflame class and race. Sadly the climate for violent right wing extremists is incredibly ripe right now. With Obama in office(whom they hate for fictitious reasons), a total defeat in gay rights and women clinics, mixed with paranoia...could be a mix of organic and orchestrated lone wolfs. However in the thick of all this whistleblower/NSA/manning/snowden stuff, the Hastings crash...whatever it is, does seem to be a sort of red line or salvo.

Thanks for the source on that, I had never heard that about Brennan before and it is probably coming from the same people who push the birth certificate stuff and indeed, think the entire WH is Muslimy or ish.


Ah well, back to digging dirt. Surely MH had to have stumbled on something big because that is what I am hearing from his own camp, that he was on a story about Brennan and it was big.
