What's RT about?

Well, its about journalism actually existing and being promoted by RT, such as this strong heroic woman, Abby Martin and her show Breaking The Set:

I'm surprised hardly anyone posts about her.

I'm sure Cheney HATES women like this, that old fucking evil bastard.

And of course, RT basically showing how stupid mainstream media is when the mainstream did a hit piece on RT, and Hillary Clinton complaining about "losing to alternative media."

Bill O'Reilly complaining that Anastasia Churkina (who reports for RT from New York) can't speak English, because O'Reilly is a fucking idiot, racist, and sexist.

RT is a welcome breath of fresh air compared to the Pentagon's Propaganda Media Channels or the U.K.'s BBC.

RT motto: "Truth is the best propaganda." "They call it an interview. You have the knives, but not a debate. Why? Too Scared? We question more. But we also listen to answers. Question More."

Someone that actually reports all the key points of the failure of the JFK Warren Investigation is TRUTH propaganda.

List of journalists killed in Russia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_j ... _in_Russia

The dangers to journalists in Russia have been well known since the early 1990s but concern at the number of unsolved killings soared after Anna Politkovskaya's murder in Moscow on 7 October 2006. While international monitors spoke of several dozen deaths, some sources within Russia talked of over two hundred fatalities.[1] The evidence has since been examined and documented in two reports, published in Russian and English, by international organizations.

А wide-ranging investigation by the International Federation of Journalists into the deaths of journalists in Russia was published in June 2009. At the same time the IFJ launched an online database[2][3] which documents over three hundred deaths and disappearances since 1993. Both the report Partial Justice[4] (Russian version: Частичное правосудие[5]) and the database depend on the information gathered in Russia over the last 16 years by the country's own media monitors, the Glasnost Defense Foundation and the Center for Journalism in Extreme Situations.

So uh, is RT covering the batshit crazy anti gay shit going off in Russia?
I have friends I talk to all the time who live in Russia, it's the kind of place we can only hope and pray America never gets even 1/100 like when it comes to violence, poverty, corruption, tyranny, etc.

Yes, RT covers both 8bit. Sometimes they are critical of it, other times they sugar coat it. As a whole, they are critical of certain topics, world governments, and abuse of powers. RT was created to be separated from Russian politics

Even I can't claim to understand Russia, but their culture is very different. They are very multicultural and integrated. Certainly that doesn't excuse anything politics are discussing in Russia. Even the U.S., it is doubtful that every state will accept same-sex marriages. I mean seriously, good luck with that in Southern States. People are propagandized in any nation.

RT's mission is not purely to speak of a one-sided rhetorical debate. RT's largest audience, is also, believe it or not, Americans. That annoying Hillary Clinton said they are "losing the information warfare" and that she has seen RT, calling it very "informative." Elite like her are afraid the 'dumb' masses will get smarter since they aren't watching stupid assholes like Bill O'Reilly or the rest of the Pentagon Approved™ MSM. So Fuck her.

Putin doesn't really go into Russian state secrets and what not, and I do not excuse things he may or may not have ordered, but there are good points made by many of those journalists and Putin himself. For the interview, Putin didn't realize it would be broadcast live only until he got there. He joked that he was "ambushed" by their broadcast interview.

Imagine if American war-hawk politicians or Obama were 'ambushed' for an interview in front of journalists asking REAL critical questions. When John R. Bolton was interviewed by John Pilger for the documentary "Breaking The Silence: The Truth and Lies in the War on Terror," he asked if John Pilger was a "communist" or from the "labor party" simply for questioning the lies of the war on terror and the deaths of many innocent people in Iraq and Afghanistan. He had simply asked questions any Humanist would ask. Some of these politicians are so deluded and believing of their shit and rhetoric. They simply view the world differently, and unfortunately, that is quite dangerous for the rest of us.

At least RT isn't dragging us through every minute of the George Zimmerman trial the way CNN, MSNBC and Fox are currently doing for days on end as if there is nothing else going on in the world.

Who makes the decision for the three major cable news networks to be locked on this story?

They claim to be in the news business for the money, giving the audience what it wants to see.

I call BS.

Watching the Pussy Riot documentary A Punk Prayer was eye opening about the culture. They didn't really have a basis from which to understand performance art or that kind of nonviolent demonstration.

supposedly they're chasing ratings. supposedly if one of them didn't, they'd lose share to the ones that are. So if two go a direction, the third has no choice. but yeah, their ratings metrics are total bullshit (to some extent, ok, so not total then I guess). but they simply have NO WAY of REALLY knowing.

but I periodically look at what shows are being pirated (torrents mostly) and you know what? NOTHING from the "news" channels is ever up'ed. These channels are chasing an ever dwindling demographic. and what "public place" really wants to have a news channel on the big tv if it's going to be running such incendiary content? Who wins? right now, mostly Th'ports Tawk etc. Same goes for radio.

I notice no one in America has decided to conduct a little experiment and SEE WHAT HAPPENS when they invade say, St. Peter's Cathedral and fuck shit up for awhile. My prediction? Some jail time, zero media coverage, etc.
