Well, the second half at least.

Anyone who's interested in the phenomenon should see the whole DVD. This should give you a good taste of it. Interesting footage of orbs in the fields beginning around the 22 minute mark.

I watched it...very interesting.

Personally jury is out for me as I have not read up on research. I had always found them facinating, but had thought man made explanations (pranksters) were the cause.

This film shows attempts to make a case that these are natural (or extra-dimentional) phenomena. Some say multi-dimensional beings, some type of Jungian collective unconscious, some say plasma energy forces. Some of the researchers who chase these circles, claim that they can actually influence the design. They said that over time they have found or think that a dialogue is being attempted between them and the thing that makes the circles.

After watching the film, I am still unsure of what is the cause. They lay out some compelling anticdotal evidence and curious questions, but how beautiful the various patterns, shapes, and forms are. Real works of art.

Edited by: BannedfromDU at: 5/7/06 12:47 pm

I own "Quest for Truth" and there are "extras" at the end that I don't know if they show up in this online version. Two are fascinating. One is a whole long scene where he and a couple others are going to observe a formation and military helicopters start buzzing them...very clear. Then they look in the field and there's this little glowing light or highly reflective something flying around. The helicopter appears to be following it on the ground for a little bit. Really amazing footage.

The second is a long story he tells about being approached by a guy who says he's from the CIA (much more involved than that) who says they want him to keep doing what he's doing but at a certain point they are going to want him to repudiate crop circles. Just once. He says he was spooked but refused. Not long after that he gave his famous assessment that 80 percent of crop circles are fake, which he also addresses in the video by saying this was NOT a result of this CIA visit. I hope that stuff is on the video Jeff linked to. Those two things were better than the main video and I don't know why they were only tacked on as "extras."

DE, I whole-heartedly agree. Those two "extras" are the most significant features of the DVD. The helicopters/blinking light sequence in particular, because there are, without question, two military helicopters intimidating observers at a fresh circle and interacting with an anomolous object. What is happening is open to conjecture, but that something is happening is indisputable.

Unfortunately the extras are not included in the online version I linked to.

I've seen that footage. It's pretty interesting. I've also seen a video purportedly showing a crop circle being made, in a matter of a minute or so, by (?) these glowing lights. It was in another documentary I saw once. Anyone happen to know anything about that? Fake or real? As I remember, it's controversial but it's said that this video couldn't have been faked with the technology available at the time. Sorry I don't remember more details. But as far as I remember, the guy who claimed to have filmed it has now completely disappeared.

"I've also seen a video purportedly showing a crop circle being made"

I think that's probably the "Oliver's Castle" video. One of the most interesting sequences includes a tractor at work. The driver stops to observe the orb, which passes about twenty feet in front of him. (The amateur filmmaker confirmed the sighting with the driver.) But again, for me the most persuasive video is the one including the two military helicopters.

Edited by: Rigorous Intuition at: 5/8/06 5:48 pm

Still, I wouldn't be so bold as to claim that I understand their many causes, meanings or importance to our shifting view of consciousness and the universe, since I don't know. You don't know.
