not likely.

how self righteous one must be to drop the word whore so easily.

[not that OP ED finds anything wrong with being a whore, in and of itself. if it was a viable career path for creepy metal heads with over inflated egos, OP ED would've become a whore straight out of high school]

really it was the sexiness of younger Miley that made OP ED go "ewww, how creepy"...

although honestly you've just confirmed several of OP ED's biases about the decaying moral heart of amerocentric neuroticisms.

...

also it is considered bad form to spout your garbage bigotries regarding lesbians in public nowadays. yes, yes, there should've been a memo or something, but that is sooo last century. okay, so maybe it was more of a stereotype than an obvious example of outright bigotry, but since you missed the memo, it is generally unwise to approach those lines where anyone else can see it, at least if you want to be taken seriously in anything else you say.

[the only thing OP ED loves more than drugs and Satan, is lesbianism]

Exactly.

Weird inversions. I'm used to seeing blind projections, but it seems this is rising to a crescendo.

I'm thinking of starting a thread on irony. A much misused concept.

I'm still chewing over this "Tiger vs. Shark" dichotomy that Mac invoked a page ago.

That shit is really going to stick with me: then again, hard to imagine a more Marxian way to spend Labor Day, and indeed my first paid Labor Day in at least 5 years. I am celebrating my indentured servitude, and I will probably need some graph paper to properly work out a flow chart vis-a-vis TigerSharkAlypse.

Both?
Neither?
There's a difference?
There from the same source and part of the same grand narrative ("The Education of Miley Cyrus") sold by the same people so why bother?

Of course it would have been even better if she had performed her emancipation act from Disney by e.g. doing something really liberating like pole-dancing while really young as an expression of her consciousness of her suppressed personality and true and natural femininity trying to break free from religionist sexual oppression.

Oh, right. She did.

All the sexy mouseketeers, eh? Good thing they have all these noble and morally upright old men taking care of their interests. What is the world coming to?

It's like more young girls should pole dance and twerk, the younger the better. Of course they should make up their own minds about it before they do it. I'm not saying... It would solve all the worlds problems and brings wars to and end, and Capitalism too, yo. Really. Read Marx and Engels.

No, seriously, what people need to understand is that Hanna Montana is fake Disney evil while Miley Cyrus twerking at the VMAs is REAL, yo.

Really, really real.

It's like that Mel Gibson movie. Freedooooooooooooooooooooom! and shit. That was the REAL Mel Gibson right there.

I would have a hard time voting for either. Both are false choices to begin with and neither choice would I consider beneficial to my kid. That the 'all american girl' and the 'shocking slut' stereotypes are again served up as the gamut of female sexual (and by extenstion, social) experience is a bit disappointing, if predictable.
