Cant claim to have see any of this series yet, but judging by Jerkys annotations, it seems much on the money.
This information is vital. Its an array of data which needs dissipating far and wide.
And always remember that this is within just, relatively speaking, one particular field.
Imagine what happens when people start to get the bigger fucking picture?
I think that part of that process is having information presented in a respectful way and from the simpler to the more complex (in a way that one can 'drive' oneself), along with plenty of clear context, which is what Jerky provides here.
I think as well as the Need-to-know, there is a Need-NOT-to-Know.
Having a mass of context free information CopyPasta-ed, without clear context in these rapidly changing times is amounts to "information-bandwidth jamming".
Why should the reader be put in a position of having to try and figure out WHY something is posted, what the CONTEXT is etc. This is not saying the info might not be useful / important - just that it needs 'meta data' as much as a web page does.
