As a queer person, I am deeply offended by Alex and his anti-queer propaganda, specifically regarding his recent bigoted rants concerning transgendered people.\. This time, his magazine has gone a step too far in it's subtle homophobic propaganda, and I will be responding by writing letters to the owners of the various business establishments throughout the city that carry his mag free of charge, asking that said magazine be banned permanently due to it's often bigoted content. School tells parents boy’s rights as transgender trump their daughter’s privacy rights

Female students at Florence High School in Colorado were threatened with hate crimes charges when they complained about being harassed by a transgender boy in the girls’ bathroom.Initial complaints about the transgender student’s behavior towards the girls were made by their parents, who were told by the school that the boy’s transgender rights trumped the privacy rights of their daughters.

When the female students continued to complain about the harassment, the school threatened to kick them off the athletic team or even hit them with hate crimes charges if they didn’t stay silent.

The Pacific Justice Institute sent a letter to the school warning them against prioritizing transgender rights over the privacy rights of female students.

“We’re not going to stand by and let 99.7 percent of our students lose their privacy and free speech rights just because .3 percent of the population are gender-confused,” the letter stated.

The school so adamantly sided with the transgender student that officials even suggested the girls give up access to most of their restrooms altogether, reported CBN News.

Although Colorado’s treatment of transgender school children is determined by policy, California became the first U.S. state to mandate by law the right of girls and boys to choose which bathroom they would use regardless of their gender back in August when Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown signed AB 1266, otherwise known as the ‘Transgender Bathroom Bill’. The law takes effect on January 1st.

The Pacific Justice Institute is circulating a petition that would force state officials to put the bill up for a referendum. If the group collects 500,000 signatures from Californians before November 10, the Bathroom Bill will be temporarily suspended until it is voted on at the next State general election in November of 2014.

Californians “jolted by the mental image of children sharing lavatories and locker rooms with opposite-sex classmates,” are making concerted efforts to repeal the bill before it becomes law, reports Bloomberg. If the bill is suspended, it could set the precedent for other areas of the country.

However, in states like Colorado, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Washington, students and parents are at the mercy of schools who have already instituted policies which exalt the rights of a tiny minority while violating the privacy rights of a huge majority of students who are being forced to share bathrooms with members of the opposite sex who identify as transgender.

Mayday, I'm with you all the way. But there has never been anything subtle about the homo-hatred central to the Alex Jones Conspiratainment Complex. And the racism, and the sexism. And the hatred of intellectuals generally, and the contempt for any hint of nuance or scholarship. And the opportunistic adoption of often valid ideas and concerns into the body of Jonesian propaganda, with no regard to the way in which these are misrepresented, distorted, and irretrievably tainted by the likes of Sturmfuehrer Watson. Jonestown is certainly present at the nuclear core of the implosion of the former 9/11 truth movement, and has spread its plutonium fallout over any discussion of the deep state and parapolitics. It lives in a symbiosis - a "constitutive antimony," to put it in current academic lingo - with neoliberal-inflected "skeptical" efforts to preemptively shut down any discussion of these vital subjects through the application of the "conspiracy theory" label. I at once sense truth and reality within his words - but I also sense his usual salesman / showman acting at play (as in the recent "fun" he had with the AJ is Bill Hicks "conspiracy theory" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJGQfhYWpa4 )

For years I and a few friends have thought of Alex as being a kind of "Idiot Savant" ('yer HALF right' says the peanut gallery). I'm well aware of his "short-comings" yet I have been fascinated by him as a person and have been intrigued by his slowly revealed claims of precognitive ability.

Perhaps this is just his latest gambit at steering a portion of his media empire towards the paranormal. He bought my friend's magazine WEIRD a few years ago (saying he was going to resurrect it) when he launched his InfoWars print magazine. I've been wondering if/when he'd finally give in and try to take the paranormal market share away from Coast to Coast AM. Maybe that's what this is ... or maybe its the latest evolution of his cult of personality. I don't know...
