Apparently California law is much different than any I'm used to, where it's legal to drive without a plate for some period of time. I had never noticed any of the times I had visited, so I don't think it's widespread, but apparently it's aboveground.

It still seems that Lash was above the law, I can't imagine many other non-celebrities have 14 ostentatious vehicles with video cameras pointing out of the windows sans license plates and beat every violation, which include (by my count) flipping two cars.

.... That call to police opened a door into the secretive life of a 60-year-old man who was fiercely private, rarely used his real name and never explained to those around him exactly what he did for a living.

Los Angeles police have revealed little about their investigation into the finding of Lash’s body, nor the 1,200-plus firearms, tons of ammunition and $230,000 in cash that were in the Pacific Palisades condo. Lash’s identity was initially provided to news media by his late father’s partner and then confirmed by Braun.

For weeks, the coroner’s office said that the decomposing body’s identity had not be determined.

Then, on Aug. 12, investigators were able to confirm that the body was that of Jeffrey Alan Lash, 60, according to Lt. Elissa Fleak of the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner. An autopsy was completed July 21, but Fleak said the cause of Lash’s death remained deferred — meaning it has not yet been determined.

Meanwhile, Braun told KTLA that all the weapons, cash and wild stories didn’t seem odd to Nebron, who thought it was part of Lash’s work with the secret government agency.

She told her attorney that it wasn’t unusual to hear Lash on the phone supposedly talking to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice or former CIA Director David Petraeus.

Braun recently revealed that Nebron was essentially held captive at the Pacific Palisades condo for years while she financed his military endeavors.

Nebron feared that if she stopped supporting Lash, a member of the “agency” would hurt someone she knew.

As it turned out, Nebron wasn’t the only woman in Lash’s life or the only one he was sharing his strange stories with. While living with Nebron, Lash was also sharing a condo in the Sunset Mesa area of Malibu with a woman named Jocelyn, whose neighbors knew Lash as “Bob.”

“He drove cars with tinted-out windows,” neighbor David Brody said. “No license plates. He covered up his VIN numbers. He said he worked for the CIA.”

Neighbors said he was always showing up with another new car to add to his collection, always outfitted like it was ready to go on an expedition.

He would randomly park the vehicle around the neighborhood because he didn’t want anyone to know where he lived, neighbors told KTLA.

Neighbors said they found out the real identity of “Bob” when he crashed into several cars at the complex and was forced to provide his driver’s license to the building manager.

Braun described Lash owning multiple vehicles “modified for combat.”

This last video cleans up some issues and makes the Lash story more palatable to understand:

-- The body has been identified by the coroner as Lash and provides more and more recent pictures.
-- Lash had relations with not two but three or more women.
-- Catherine Lebron who now was purportedly afraid and a captive of Lash was the source of at least some of his financing from her inheritance.
-- Lash was a secretive and maybe paranoid guy, that may or may not have had relations with high level officials and agencies - Rice and Petraeus-, but claimed so to a number of individuals.
-- Some more detail about Lash's background.
-- The three women and a number of cousins have made claims of Lash's assets.

But:

-- Nothing said about the purpose of all the weaponry and other hardware.
-- No more mention of his being an alien hybrid (I was routing for this to be true or at least being an open question for entertainment value).
-- Nothing said about why and how Lash set out on this dedicated path.
-- What about Dawn Marie VadBunker (and now this 3rd woman)? Where is she? What is up with her "step parents"?

The article ties up the questions about Lash in a neat bow with much detail and many pictures (including inside the Lebron condo -- a hoarder's nest- -- and notes to women friends.

Lash was involved not with one woman but at least three and was controlling in an abusive manner. The women funded his collecting supposedly.

"Michelle L." was a wealthy woman who he had a relationship with for 31 years. She is the woman who dropped off the bags at the door that purportedly had food, ice (recall condo did not have utilities), etc.

I am not sure I buy this narrative but answers most questions (except where is Dawn Marie VadBunker and what about the alien and covert agency stuff).

Part 1: Strange Case of “Human-E.T. Hybrid” Secret Agent Found Dead in SUV in Pacific Palisades, CA.


August 28, 2015 - Oxnard, California - Since mid-July 2015, news about an alleged human-E.T. hybrid secret government agent working for the CIA, who died in an SUV near his fiance’s condo in wealthy Pacific Palisades community north of Santa Monica continues to surprise.

One person with firsthand knowledge about the hybrid is Laura VadBunker, now 60 years old. Laura and her husband, David Roger, live in Oxnard, California. They have a son who in the past seven years had a close girlfriend named Dawn Marie Hannon. Dawn is now 39 years old and has two teenage girls of her own. Dawn is close to her 20-year-old daughter, Melody Hannon; and estranged from her 18-year-old.

During Dawn’s relationship with the VadBunker’s son, she began to call the VadBunkers “Mom” and “Dad.” Laura VadBunker said Dawn became so close to them that on March 27, 2015, this year, Laura and David officially adopted 39-year-old Dawn Marie to give her family comfort and protection.

Dawn has had another unusual relationship working for the owner of many different properties in Los Angeles County. Dawn’s boss has been — and still might be now — 54-year-old Catherine Suzanne Nebron, also known as Catherine Weiss, once married to dentist Phillip Gorin. Beginning around 2008, Dawn was hired to process real estate paperwork for Catherine Nebron. All of their work was done by computers and phones and Dawn did not physically meet Catherine until about three years ago. Then for the first time, Dawn met not only Catherine Nebron, but also met her fiancé of ten years since 2005, then using the name “Bob Smith.” He was born Jeffrey Alan Lash and also known by at least one alleged government operative in the mid-1990s as “Jared Lass.”

Lash was born December 3, 1954, graduated from Los Angeles’s Westchester High School in 1972, enrolled in UCLA but dropped out in the mid-1980s. That’s when he might have begun some classified work for the U. S. government under one or more false names and fake records. One anonymous source recently told me that he met Jared Lass in a special ops unit in the mid-1990s that worked for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).

Jeffrey’s father, Joseph Lash, was a microbiologist who owned his own lab and allegedly collaborated with a Dr. Elmer Belt, who pioneered sex change surgery techniques. Upon the father’s death September 11, 2010, Jeffrey Lash, the son, might have inherited his father’s microbiology patents. Lash's long-time fiancé, Catherine Nebron, told Dawn Marie that Jeffrey worked as a secret agent for the CIA and was a human-E.T. hybrid on a mission to “save the world” from a deteriorating future.

Only five years after his father’s death, Jeffrey Lash died on July 4, 2015, sitting in an SUV in front of Catherine Nebron’s Pacific Palisades condo. With him when he died was Catherine, her assistant Dawn Marie VadBunker and an unnamed chiropractor. Allegedly Lash collapsed in a supermarket parking lot and was having trouble breathing, but refused to be taken to a hospital. So they drove back to Catherine’s condo that she shared with Lash. Still parked at the curb in the SUV, the chiropractor allegedly worked for three hours trying to keep Jeffrey Lash alive. What no one else knew was that Catherine Nebron, Dawn Marie VadBunker and the chiropractor packed dry ice around Lash’s body, wrapped him in a blanket and left him in the SUV because Catherine said the CIA would know from an electronic implant that Lash had died and would soon come for his body. That’s why she packed dry ice around him. Then Catherine and Dawn Marie got in another car and took off for Oregon apparently to be far away when the CIA showed up to take Jeffrey Alan Lash’s body.

That was July 4th. Six days later on Friday, July 10th, Dawn Marie’s mother, Laura VadBunker in Oxnard, called her local police department to file a missing persons report because Dawn had not called home since July 3rd. Five days after that, on July 15, 2015, Oregon police found Dawn Marie VadBunker and Catherine Nebron hiding out in a small mountain motel near Bend, Oregon. Catherine then hired Los Angeles famed attorney Harland W. Braun. Braun had represented actor Robert Blake when Blake was charged with killing his wife. Catherine asked Braun to contact the Los Angeles police to check on her SUV.

On Friday, July 17, 2015, the Los Angeles Police Department responded to attorney Braun’s emergency phone request to search the SUV parked near Catherine Nebron’s residence. In the SUV, the police discovered Lash’s decomposing body wrapped in a blanket. Police say Jeffrey Lash had cancer when he died, although he told his fiancée that he was sick because he had been exposed to nerve-damaging chemicals during a CIA mission in the past few months.

That led to a search warrant of Catherine Nebron’s Palisades Drive condo and a series of headlines around the world beginning with the U. K.’s Daily Mail on July 23, 2015.

“Mysterious LA Loner with $5 Million Gun Arsenal Was ‘A Human-Alien Hybrid Secret Agent Sent to Save the Human Race,’ Claims His Fiancee.

— Man identified as 60-year-old Jeffrey Alan Lash, of LA County, died July 4, 2015, but wasn’t found until July 17.

— Instead of alerting the police about Lash’s death in the SUV in front of her condo, Catherine Nebron and her assistant, Dawn Marie VadBunker, left for Oregon to hide out while waiting for the CIA to retrieve Lash’s body.

— Police linked the SUV to Catherine Nebron’s condo address where they found 1,200 guns worth over $5 million, 6.5 tons of ammunition and $230,000 in cash.

— Yesterday, August 26th, the Palisadian-Post reported that Catherine Nebron’s attorney, Harland Braun, now says that “Catherine Was Held Captive in Her Own Condo” by Jeffrey Lash while he had long-term relationships with three or four other rich women. And in addition to the huge cache of weapons and ammunition, Lash allegedly hoarded throughout the condo expensive cameras, lenses, high-powered binoculars, a thousand Palm Pilots, camouflage gear and Gore-Tex jackets, thousands of books and about 60,000 CDs and 25,000 DVDs.

By August 27th, Laura VadBunker has still not seen or received a phone call from her daughter Dawn Marie since July 3rd, 2015. But Dawn did mail the VadBunkers a handwritten letter that is reprinted in Part 2.

Laura begins with what she has known about Dawn’s work for Catherine Nebron and the alleged human-alien hybrid secret CIA agent, “Bob Smith,” born Jeffrey Alan Lash.

Nebron Told Dawn VadBunker That Bob/Jeffrey Lash “Was Very High, High ... Up in the Government”

The whole time that Dawn Marie worked for Catherine, she had never met her. She worked for her unseen, always on the phone, never got to meet her in person because ‘Bob’ was very high, high, high, high, high, high up in the government.

THAT’S WHAT CATHERINE NEBERON TOLD DAWN?

Yes, ma’am, I’m telling you what I know. So this went on for a few years. Then, she finally met her I would say less than three years ago because she told me that she finally got to meet her.

WHY DID THAT HAPPEN AND WHAT WERE THE CIRCUMSTANCES?

Property management. They would meet once a week in Santa Monica at different locations, most of them were Starbucks. They would meet and go over paperwork and contracts that would have to be renewed to a lot of properties in Ventura. So, that’s how that started. And through this time, I guess she started talking about ‘Bob.’

That’s quite interesting. This had to have been only maybe 3.5 to 4 months ago. No matter how often I tried to talk to Dawn about this, it was always, ‘It’s real, it’s real, it’s real! He is alien. He’s over 500 years old. Catherine Nebron came from a water planet and she is part alien, too, and we’re being watched all the time.

Correct. A beautiful sky blue and very inviting. Something you would remember. His hair was thin, but he had hair and it was brown. I would imagine at one time he would look good.

He could not move. He had to be lifted by two people and put in a car to be moved from that car.

HOW WOULD YOU SQUARE THAT WITH THE STATEMENTS BY DAWN AND CATHERINE THAT HE HAS BEEN WORKING IN A VERY HIGH POSITION AS A HUMAN-E.T. HYBRID IN A GOVERNMENT AGENCY IF HE HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO MOVE?

What he did for his work, he used his right hand. I took that as a computer 'inputter' that worked for the government (data entry for CIA) and when I first met him, it (his right hand) was contorted like if you had arthritis and you couldn’t move it well.

Oh, yes, he did.

I do not. I was told that ‘Bob’ was over 500 years old. Dawn Marie said she had seen him for what he was. She said, ‘His eyes are really yellow. I really got to see him for what he looks like.’ And she believed every word she was telling me.

She texted me and said, ‘I am going to go to work.’

OK, so I knew she was heading from Ventura and headed to Santa Monica. So this part I knew. And I knew she got to Santa Monica because that evening she said, ‘I’m going to spend the night.’

SO, THE LAST COMMUNICATION FROM YOUR DAUGHTER …

Was July 3rd, 2015.

AT NIGHT.

At night. And then July 4th. She was supposed to be here to help with the party and I got a text, ‘I’m staying a couple more days.’

THIS IS YOUR JULY 4TH HOLIDAY PARTY WITH FRIENDS?

She was supposed to be there, yes, ma’am. That’s the last I heard. Monday, no Dawn. Tuesday, no Dawn. All week long, repeated phone calls — no response. To where Friday, we decided it’s time to call the police. It’s time to file a missing persons under suspicious circumstances. It was odd.

WHAT WAS THE DATE YOU CALLED TO FILE A MISSING PERSONS REPORT?

It would be the next Friday, the 10th.

SO JULY 10TH, 2015, YOU FILED A MISSING PERSONS REPORT WITH WHICH POLICE DEPARTMENT?

Oxnard Police Department.

WHAT DID THEY THEN START OUT TO DO?

They came directly here. They took the report. I gave them information about Dawn. They actually went to Catherine Nebron’s house and all the neighbors said they had not seen her for over a week. To this day, I have no idea why they would be found at the motel in Oregon. And I don’t know why Dawn did not come home. I don’t know why she hasn’t made a phone call. We have no idea.

HAVE YOU BEEN ABLE TO TALK WITH CATHERINE NEBRON AT ALL?

No, Catherine never answered phone calls in that week either. Catherine never answered phone calls from the police department and there were many. She was not home.

SO, SINCE YOU FILED THAT OXNARD POLICE DEPARTMENT MISSING PERSONS REPORT ON JULY 10TH, 2015, WHEN IS IT THAT CATHERINE NEBRON GOT BACK TO CALIFORNIA AND BACK INTO HER LIFE?

I think it was 18 days.

THAT WOULD BE JULY 22ND SHE CAME BACK?

I believe so.

WAS IT CATHERINE NEBRON COMING BACK AND FINDING THAT ‘BOB SMITH’ OR ‘JEFFREY LASH’ IS STILL IN THIS SUV IN FRONT OF HER HOUSE?

She came back and realized he wasn’t taken by the CIA or a higher government place, as she was led to believe. And at that time, she lawyered up and called a lawyer to call the police: ‘Oh, my God! He’s still here. What do we do?’

DOES THE FACT THAT THERE ARE SO MANY GARAGES WITH CARS OR SUVS THAT ARE RELATED TO THIS JEFFREY LASH SUPPORT THE STORY THAT HE WAS WORKING IN SOME BIZARRE WAY FOR A GOVERNMENT AGENCY?

Either supports that he’s a psychopathy — or that he is what he says he is. I don’t find it weird that there are hybrids living on Earth. Do I think so? Why not? There’s unidentified objects that they swear to God don’t exist. Well, we know that’s a lie. Right.”

“WELL, THERE’S A BIG PART THAT I DON’T FULLY UNDERSTAND. YOU FILED THAT MISSING PERSONS REPORT FOR YOUR DAUGHTER, DAWN MARIE, ON JULY 10TH, 2015. I was called about eight days into this at 4 o’clock in the morning from Oregon saying they had located Dawn. She was safe.

WHO DISCOVERED HER?

The police department. There was an all points bulletin for the car.

NEAR BEND, OREGON?

Right.

SO, THE POLICE FIND YOUR MISSING DAUGHTER AND POLICE CALL YOU, BUT DAWN HAS NOT TALKED TO YOU SINCE JULY 3RD?

Correct.

HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THAT?

I can’t.

We got a letter from her postmarked the 16th of July from Sacramento and it was in the form of a letter with no return address. [ Three words: “Love Hope Change”] That’s the only contact — something that’s tangible that you could hold in your hand and say, ‘Wow! I get a letter.’

The letter begins:

“Dearest Mom and Dad,

As I write this I am sure you are both very hurt and confused.

Please know I am safe and always will be. I am in need of time to heal myself so that I may better help this world.

Our dear friend Bob has passed on from this world to work in Heaven. He left with a great fight and I know he is still working up in Heaven with God to continue saving our beautiful world.

I can not help until I heal myself. I will be going to a place of healing where others like me will help me heal and be strong for what ever task I may be needed for!

Do not hold anger it will not help. No one but me has made this choice. It is what must be done.

Someday I may return. I just do not know when.

Just know I am doing all of this for the good of this world.

I have one request of you both to keep an eye on my dear Melody. (teenage daughter)

I haven’t heard one thing from the L. A. police department. Not one person has called. Not one person has come to get Catherine Nebron’s files that are in the office here that Dawn shared with me. I haven’t got one phone call from (atty) Braun, which I’m sure I would have gotten a gag order. But I didn’t, only later to find out that he’s putting out a press release saying he (Jeffrey Lash) was an alien hybrid.

THAT BRAUN HAS PUT OUT A PRESS RELEASE QUOTING CATHERINE NEBRON SAYING THAT JEFFREY LASH WAS A HUMAN-E.T. HYBRID.

Absolutely.

YOU HAVE TRIED REPEATEDLY TO CALL CATHERINE NEBRON WHO YOU MET AND TALKED WITH IN THE PRESENCE OF YOUR DAUGHTER AND ‘BOB SMITH,’ THE HUMAN-E.T. HYBRID, ALLEGED, AND THAT CATHERINE NEBRON HAS NOT COMMUNICATED WITH YOU IN ANY WAY?

None whatsoever.

HOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT IF SHE TRAVELED TO OREGON WITH YOUR DAUGHTER?

You know, the only way I can put this together — she (Dawn) is certainly not working for Catherine Nebron at this point because she is not here to take care of the properties. So either she is being stifled with money, or given a lot of money, or something. Catherine owns many properties.

SHE COULD HAVE GIVEN YOUR DAUGHTER A LOT OF MONEY JUST TO STAY IN OREGON, OR WHEREVER.

AND THE QUESTION IS: WHY, IF CATHERINE NEBRON COMES BACK TO LOS ANGELES AND HIRES THE ATTORNEY, HARLAND BRAUN, TO REPRESENT HER, AND IT IS CATHERINE NEBRON, WHO REPORTS THAT HER FIANCE IS DEAD IN THAT SUV FROM JULY 4TH TO WHEN SHE RETURNED SOMEWHERE AROUND JULY 22ND, AND THAT THE REASON SHE GAVE THE POLICE THAT SHE DID NOT REPORT HIS DEATH ON JULY 4TH AS HIS FIANCE WAS BECAUSE HE WAS A HUMAN-E. T. HYBRID WORKING FOR THE CIA AND SHE, THE FIANCE, EXPECTED THAT THE CIA WOULD COME AND REMOVE HIS BODY.

Yes, because there were three people with her with no names. Her, Catherine Nebron. Dawn Marie VadBunker. And a chiropractor.

[ Editor's Note: During this August 11, 2015, interview, neither Laura nor I knew what would unfold on August 27, 2015, with KTLA-TV in Los Angeles revealing that the third person in the SUV while Jeffrey Lash was dying was Catherine Nebron's ex-husband, dentist Phillip Gorin. Gorin also got dental records of Jeffrey Lash to the L. A. coroner's office from which confirmation was made that the dead man in the SUV was in fact Jeffrey Alan Lash.]

I don’t have his name, nor would I want to ruin his career because the poor man — that’s the one they are talking about that had the medical knowledge. And he (Jeffrey Lash) would not go to medical doctors. He only believed in naturopaths — so it would be healers and chiropractors would be the only ones he would go to.

And what happened was, I believe, from what was said that he had a seizure. And he got over-heated and they worked on him for three hours. He dies.

DID HE DIE IN THE CHIROPRACTOR’S OFFICE?

He died in the SUV.

WERE THEY WORKING ON HIM IN THE CAR?

In the car. He never went out of the car.

SO THE CHIROPRACTOR WAS THERE WHEN HE DIED.

Absolutely! And this is what she (Catherine) has claimed all along. She has never changed her story. But she didn’t tell the whole story at first. But when I started talking, she told the story.

I’m not worried about Men In Black coming to my door and asking me to be quiet. I’m not going to be quiet. This happened to me. I was stuck right in the middle of it and I lost a daughter. Why not just call the police and say, ‘He died. He worked for the CIA.’

UCLA Reference Librarian Confirms No Crime in Not Reporting Dead Body

On August 27th, I called the Reference Library at the UCLA School of Law in Los Angeles and asked librarian Jenny Lentz if she could find any statute in California or Los Angeles County or City law that makes it a crime not to report a dead body.

Here is her reply:

Hi Linda,

We have looked and we cannot find a statute on the books at the state or local level that requires someone to report a dead body. There are requirements to not desecrate a dead body (below) but we couldn’t find one requiring one to report. So, it appears that the attorney is correct.

Disclaimer: Although we could not find a statute on the books, that does not mean that one does not exist. We are librarians, not attorneys, so we need to tell you to rely on this information at your own discretion.

In the event of discovery or recognition of any human remains in any location other than a dedicated cemetery, there shall be no further excavation or disturbance of the site or any nearby area reasonably suspected to overlie adjacent remains until the coroner of the county in which the human remains are discovered has determined, in accordance with Chapter 10 (commencing with Section 27460) of Part 3 of Division 2 of Title 3 of the Government Code, that the remains are not subject to the provisions of Section 27491 of the Government Code or any other related provisions of law concerning investigation of the circumstances, manner and cause of any death, and the recommendations concerning the treatment and disposition of the human remains have been made to the person responsible for the excavation, or to his or her authorized representative, in the manner provided in Section 5097.98 of the Public Resources Code. The coroner shall make his or her determination within two working days from the time the person responsible for the excavation, or his or her authorized representative, notifies the coroner of the discovery or recognition of the human remains.

The article ties up the questions about Lash in a neat bow with much detail and many pictures (including inside the Nebron condo -- a hoarder's nest- -- and notes to women friends.

Lash was involved not with one woman but at least three and was controlling in an abusive manner. The women funded his collecting supposedly.

"Michelle L." was a wealthy woman who he had a relationship with for 31 years. She is the woman who dropped off the bags at the door that purportedly had food, ice (recall condo did not have utilities), etc.

I am not sure I buy this narrative but answers most questions (except where is Dawn Marie VadBunker and what about the alien and covert agency stuff).
