Fixed Flat Earth?

As a kid, pretty dumb in math and science, I always questioned the "globe spinning so fast we can't tell" lesson. I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that we live on this 1,000 mph spinning ball that whizzes through space at 67,000 mph without feeling something, seeing something. My eyes and experience told me the Earth is flat and motionless, and everything in the sky revolves, not us. So I used to ask my mom stupid questions like, "Why don't planes just fly straight up and wait for their destination to arrive?" "If the earth is constantly spinning at 1,000 mph in the same direction, how can clouds, wind, weather, birds, bugs and planes fly every which way?" She told me gravity pulls the earth's atmosphere along and something about inertia and velocity. So then I asked, "Well, if gravity is that strong, how is it, at the same time, so weak that it allows the bugs, birds, clouds and planes to float, fly so freely? She said something about atmospheric pressure, centrifugal force, and some sort of space vacuum that keeps the air within our atmosphere. Of course my mom ended up laughing at my stupid childish questions and that was that.

However, now that I'm an adult--not much smarter in math and science--after watching a few "flat earth" documentaries (including Rear Admiral Richard E. Byrd, an American Naval officer who specialized in feats of polar exploration, who spoke of an untouched resource rich --coal, oil, minerals, uranium, etc--land as large as the U.S. off the south pole that needed further exploration, but resulted in an International treaty that banned all exploration of that area in 1959 after his death) and reading a little from the International Flat Earth Research Society, I still have a few stupid questions:

Architects, engineers, and pilots must factor in the curvature of the earth into their projects, flights, right? So if they do, isn't that proof of a globe? If they don't, wouldn't they ask, "why not?" (Someone claimed NASA uses "flat-earth" calculations)

Do airplane pilots constantly correct their altitudes downwards so as to not fly straight off into outer space?

Why aren't there any realistic videos of our spinning earth? Why no new non-composite pictures of earth?

Why was an international treaty put in place banning any country from doing basically anything in the area Byrd discovered? With so many resources for corporations to exploit?

Why does the UN use a flat-Earth map as its official logo and flag?


What about day/night cycles and seasons? Shouldn't there be an am/pm switch every 6 months?

I am certainly NOT convinced that we live on a flat earth, but those in charge of explaining our reality are so good at making lies sound truthful, so good at manipulating, deceiving, and gaslighting us that not to question and examine everything we've been indoctrinated to believe even when it totally contradicts our experience or sense perception is, in my humble opinion, the true definition of insanity.

Think we can discount the UN flag as 'flat-earth' as its more (i believe, hold on)
accurately a projection from the north pole, in order to not favor any one nation.
Semantically, one could say that any map of the world in 2d (even the shitugly orange-peel one) is 'flat earth' if you lay it on the table.

What would be much more instructive, i feel, would be a real investigation into where the fuck did all these youtube flat earth vids spring from, in a seeming microsecond
(can thay be filtered and ranked chronologically so we can see when & how fast they proliferated?) - & who maybe behind it? (bunch of youtuber pranksters stealing each others culled slides & footage
just doesn't cut it)
- I strongly suspect some psychology/psychiatric faculty breeching/abreaction real world experiments or........

some shitty psywar op to guage & calibrate how far/bad the global dumbingdown has gone/succeeded....but that all could be some precursor
to some truly godawful mindwar shit to come..........

If their projects are big enough, sure, or if they're communicating over large distances.

We're not living on a flat Earth. Go look at the ocean. You can see the curvature of the Earth, and you can only see a limited distance because the Earth curves away from you.

The centers of the four sides are indented with an extraordinary degree of precision forming the only 8 sided pyramid, this effect is not visible from the ground or from a distance but only from the air, and then only under the proper lighting conditions. This phenomenon is only detectable from the air at dawn and sunset on the spring and autumn equinoxes, when the sun casts shadows on the pyramid.

And I'd like to object to the borealocentrism of a theory that, if the Earth is flat, then the North Pole is in the centre of it. Not cool.

As for the pyramid thing, more than half of the 'facts' in that linked list are completely made up. I had to laugh at the three most popular posts on Ancient Code: one is "Researchers discover a 2 billion year old Nuclear Reactor in Africa," and another is "Researchers find a 250 million year old microchip in Russia." You'd have hoped the top one would be about a 13.5-billion-year-old celebrity gossip magazine, but alas, it's about a 13,000-year-old alien satellite.

I just thought of an old housemate of mine, who thought sunscreen did nothing at all and that it was just a flat-out lie by Big Sunscreen. Maybe we can have that chat this week.

Hi Stefano,

I will readily admit to being a tad skeptical about some of the pyramid facts myself. Theyre likely almost as diabolical as the official take on the entire Giza Plateau regarding dating et cetera. It seems reasonably clear to me that the site contains many elements of a legacy.

However The door thing sounded like a bit of a stretch for starters.

The eight sided thing did interest me though, assuming thats not made up?

The indentation thing is true. You can see a hint of it on Google Earth. It's pretty small: the dent goes in 36 inches at the base, on a stretch of 763 feet. It was probably missed by earlier researchers because the surface is so rough, but it would have been obviously apparent when the limestone cladding was still up. It doesn't look like there's anything like it on Khafre's pyramid, the more recent one that still has its capstone.

I don't think the bit about light at the solstice is correct though. To get that kind of effect a building would have to be in the tropics. But there would have been a very specific, short effect on the east side in late morning and on the west side in early afternoon, maybe that was the lunch bell for the tomb keepers who lived out there.

There's also an engineering explanation: that the dent would have created a force towards the middle to make sure the cladding didn't slide off.
