Re: Fixed Flat Earth?
I'm 100% convinced of major errors and deliberate deception with regards to NASA and the current mythology of the world we live in.
However, I don't see the need to immediately draw a new conclusion while we are still in the "deconstructing lies" stage.
I'm open to the flat earth idea, as some of the deliberate deception does appear to be pointing in that direction, but I think it's premature to draw conclusions at this point.

...why?
Because I've looked into the topic fairly extensively. It is hugely interesting to me, and stands up to deeper scrutiny.
I don't feel the need to "sell" anyone else on it though. I haven't drawn any conclusions, and I'm more interested in knowing what's correct than in having my opinions reinforced by my peers.
Or more likely, I just have thin skin and don't enjoy being insulted.

Except of course that we arent completely muuons- Morons maybe
On Edit- @ Stefano - Thanks for the link to the Cassiopaea forum. Ive browsed a couple of threads, and it looks interesting. Is it a place you are familiar with?

I know I'm probably just not 'getting it' but....
...according to the 'flat Earth'...um, theory...the Earth is a disc?...like a pancake?...floating in space?...or is outer space just part of the...illusion?...and how deep or thick is the flat Earth?...what's underneath it, on the bottom?...is there a bottom?...is there a boundary?...if so, why has no one fallen off the edge of the flat Earth? [Edit: that I know of.]...that should do for now.

Re: Fixed Flat Earth?
For the record, the comic strip I posted at the bottom of page 2 wasn't for the purpose of ridicule but rather just to keep things lighthearted.
I love fringe theories but find the idea of a hollow earth at least slightly less implausible than that of a flat one. I, for one, welcome our new Nazi dinosaur black sun overlords.
To those who would entertain the notion of a flat earth, how do you account for great circle navigation (the entire airline industry can't be in on it, can they?) or the old classic "ship sails appearing on the horizon before the hull"?

Sorry for sounding snarky, but while it is sort of a fun 'thought experiment', I find the notion of a flat Earth completely preposterous. If it's just meant as some kind of challenge to the prevailing techknowledgy then surely there are more sensible ways to do that.

That kind of sums up my thoughts about it, though I can't see any reason there couldn't be vast hollow areas inside the planet; I'd probably be more surprised if there weren't. That said, I was pretty unconvinced by Bernard's Hollow Earth classic, which I read years ago and still have around here somewhere.

Horribly written book, btw, should have been about 25 pages; it's mostly repetition.

Fundamental errors (and assumptions) have been made throughout scientific history and each error has been compounded by 'fixes' that in turn require more fixes as new data comes in that doesn't conform with expectations.
This continual and continuing - not entirely sure what to call it - delusion? - fascinates me in dual respects - is it purely concensus-driven (stay in the pack, don't rock the boat) or is it agenda-driven? I'm tending towards the latter, recently.
Their models actually work very well. What you call delusion is the cartoon version of the scientific method which has resulted in the ability to make extremely accurate predictions.

The best counterexample to the flat earth theory is the non-stop flight from Jo'Burg in South Africa to Perth in Western Australia.

One of the major arguments used is that airline flying is indirect and that there are no really long distance flights purely in the "Southern Hemisphere" - they always do 'stop-overs' or "V" shaped flight
It certainly is correct that the *vast* majority of long distance aircraft flight is in the Northern Hemisphere, which might possibly be connected with most people, well, living there.
From what I can see, JoBurg to Perth on SAA is a pretty well used and direct flight (Aussies, Kiwis and Saffas are pretty interconnected cultures).
Actually, there is now an even longer flight from Santiago, Chile to Sydney, Australia which is causing problems in Flatland.

I think there are really interesting conversations to be had around FE - not just psyops-related but around evidence, engagement, argumentation, theory-making, when to dispose of models etc.

^^^^ Of course it's flat. As a fellow native of Quarz, we know the Earth is flat.
It's the fucking obelisk Kubrick showed you others some time ago, that you're floating on.
How about you meeting me later on up in my cloaked ship for a glass of sherry and we'll discuss reprogramming the holoworld. Or shall I join you on yours? Seems they're catching on... did you catch the Matrix?

Re: Fixed Flat Earth?
My only question here would be: why are the rest of the planets globes, but the earth is (supposedly) flat?
I'm on a couple of wild-@ssed conspiracy forums and there has been a deluge of flat-earth conversations as of late. So I'm glad this thread at RI came into existence.

I mean water is just plain old fukn water, right?
When Dr Dennis McKenna, Terence's botanist brother, drank ayahuasca with the Uniao do Vegetal, a Brazilian syncretic religion that uses ayahuasca as its sacrament, he was turned into a sentient water molecule in the jungle soil, pulled up through a vine's roots to experience the miraculous molecular
processes of photosynthesis in its leaves. "Somehow I understood - though no words were involved - that the Banisteriopsis vine was the embodiment of the
plant intelligence that embraced and covered the earth," he recalled.
At the end of his vision, a voice told him, "You monkeys only think you're running things."( emphasis mine)

Probably just another psychotic Dr talking crap? Or maybe we actually are morons as a species and actually know fuckall about anything of real importance.
I wonder what the earth would look like as a subatomic particle? To me as a human being it looks very round and very beautiful, though we're doing our best to fuck that up.
