Please AD, explain the difference to me, between the "far right" and the "far left." Under a Democrat administration the United States has, along with the help of London and Israel, bombed an entire Middle East out of their homes, stole their oil, starved their children, tortured their people, and caused untold chaos.

What is the difference between the left and the right? Or is it just "cool and ok" when the left does it?

Well the left keeps it low key, pragmatic and pretends they are troubled by it. The right is much more braggy, creepy and always goes overboard about it.

And the administration in question is to the right of Nixon.

The Gender Fascists of the Dark Enlightenment

February 4, 2016
Submitted to It’s Going Down

The antifeminist pick-up artist Roosh V made headlines this week after announcing worldwide rallies to “Make Rape Legal” in at least 43 cities. These rallies, part of the Men’s Rights Movement, are an effort to unite the various tendencies of the neoreactionary manosphere in the real world.

The Men’s Rights Movement is the name given to the latest incarnation of the antifeminist movement, the gender faction of the white male Protestant culture that has been at the heart of America’s foundation. Since the early days of the suffrage movement, there’s been a reactionary backlash to counter the calls for women’s liberation.

In the 2010s, the growth of the internet has given rise to a network of virulently antifeminist, jingoistic, racist and misogynistic websites. Men from all over the world post their darkest violent rants about their hatred of women. Some of these threads lead to the creation of gunman Elliot Roger who targeted a sorority. Other sites provide an intellectual backing to the whole ideology of neomasculinity.

Roosh’s flagship site, Return of Kings serves as his personal blog to advocate his ideology and recruit followers. Thanks in part to Trump and the past two years of misogynistic backlash, it is now one of the fastest growing pop-fascism sites on the web.

With articles demeaning women, jingoistic racism, apologies for colonialism, and blatant transphobia, the site has become the refuge for openly-bigoted opinions of the hard right. Return of Kings is so racist that it even has a eugenics report of Germanic Tribes written in the style of a Roman conqueror’s traveling diary. Their politics section focuses on support for Western culture and triumph of civilization over the lesser peoples. They posit that rape culture is a product of Eastern civilization. Most contributors hold an admiration of the Roman empire, while others advocate a conservative-libertarian philosophy. All seem to reject more mainstream politics, though many sympathize with the Trump campaign.

All of this press attention may actually backfire against the MRA movement as many of the target cities have announced counter-demonstrations against Roosh’s rallies.

“We want to bring attention to the fact that this group is advocating rape and violence against women, and we don’t want their horrible views to gain any kind of foothold in Australia,” said Jennie Hill, an organizer with an Australian feminist group. “There are people all over the world who are very upset about what they are trying to do.”

The MRA’s responded by saying they will film and dox any “crazy feminists” who try obstruct their freedom to assemble and speak.

Roosh V and his hypermasculine cohorts are just part of the larger neoreactionary movement that has blossomed in the past twenty years. Coalitions of Christian evangelicals, survivalist militiamen, and xenophobes organized by the GOP over the past 30 years have paved the way for an alternative rightwing intelligentsia to claim leadership over these foot soldiers. Just as anarchists and communists have a tenuous relationship with the liberal Left, the alt-Right view their Republican allies with contempt for being beholden to what they perceive as the “cultural Marxism” of mainstream politics.

Termed the Dark Enlightenment by philosopher Nick Land, this new theoretical movement rejects democracy advocating a form of monarchy based off intellectual racism, libertarian economics, technological transhumanism, traditional gender roles, and aggressive promotion of Western values. The MRAs, with their embrace of technology and advocacy for “old world values,” definitely fall into this larger reactionary trend. The name “Return of Kings” clearly alludes to the restoration of monarchy and features explicit critiques of democracy.

Granted, the backlash against Roosh shows that the pro-rape crowd is still a minority. But recent fascistic trends in American culture have emboldened them to take a more active approach in furthering their agenda.

Solidarity to everyone taking action to shut down these rallies, and don’t forget to submit a report back to It’s Going Down!

Pro-Rape Group Leader Actually Lives In His Mother’s Basement
February 5, 2016

Image

Daryush Valizadeh is the self-proclaimed King of Masculinity and at the age of 36, he is living in his mother’s basement.

Valizadeh is the man at the center of a worldwide controversy, over advocating legalizing rape on private property. He answered the door in a sweat-stained t-shirt at the door of his mother’s own private property yesterday.

He called the police, saying he was concerned for his safety, after receiving death threats from around the world.

He had called for and later canceled a series of what he termed “tribal meetings” in 45 countries this weekend.

Valizadeh and his followers say that women should be banned from voting, and should not be able to claim rape if on private property.

Valizadeh has gone on the record saying that a woman’s value depends on her “fertility and beauty.” He’s often praised women with eating disorders, saying that they “make the best girlfriends.”

Yesterday he backpedaled a bit, telling police that his pro-rape missive was actually a “satire” article and that he edited the website recently to clarify this, just two days ago.

While he portrays himself as an global businessman, and while he charges $150 for ad space on his website per day, “Roosh” has not ventured out on his own.

Instead, he has chosen to live under the roof and maintanance of a woman – his own mother.

Irony much?

Hard not to feel schadenfreude for Valizadeh but interesting that lots of people who aren't sympathetic to him in the slightest are nonetheless questioning the (I suspect managed) narrative, here...

This guy may be deserving but a similar amount of pressure can be directed at practically anybody fairly quickly - the future of "5 minutes hate" will be interesting

I think he is an avatar of hatred, bigotry and oppression. It's too bad that folks of that general ilk get as much positive play as they do around here.

Are they fighting malevolent Conspiracy more than they are serving it? Seems pretty sketchy to me. Whether the hatred is targeted at migrants, women, blacks, jews, muslims, or whoever else, I say ya basta!

He's doing it again, slipping it in all over the place.

I'm not sure I fully understand what you're saying, so here are a few questions:

It sounds like you believe in some kind of teleology where a new wave of "White" Nationalism is pretty much inevitable?

If so, where do you get your news and analysis?

Do you think the main- or perhaps only- alternative to Neoliberalism is actually Ethno-nationalism?

If so, where does that relate to White Supremacy and Global Capitalism, etc.?
There is racism and reactionary thinking here at RI?

Sounds like a job for anyone who may consider themselves an antifascist (using my own take on the concept, re dynamism)

Seems to stand in opposition to all those many many proclamations that 'this is an anti-fascist board'

Either the claim was rubbish in the first place, or the board has changed in the meantime.

Valizadeh is part of the managed narrative. The idea that he isn't - that he is some sort of anti hero rebel with ideas from outside the mainstream norms of our culture - is just wrong.

It's pretty bad news for the parents though when their resident offspring are identified as such. This sort of stuff happens all too often in anti-fascist circles, a similar thing was recently done with Matt Parrot, as pasted on here, like dragging a person's parents into something is ok,

Do you care so much for Evangelicals, White Nationalists, Zionists, the GOP and the like that you would rather keep them around? I would think I would get support from you, of all people, for getting rid of the current incarnation of the right wing.

i'm late to this thread so .... i get where you're coming from, but it reminds me of a discussion from TL;dr I mean TLotR.

All well and good for the factions of the wannabe nazis to go to war with each other, but the reality is it'll just be a war between the ideologues that run the organisations. All the non committed potential recruits won't join in until

The winner emerges, stronger, and free of doubt.

Because that's going to be an interesting process to witness.

"Whiteness" has always been "Balkanised."

In fact thinking about your comment is a bit like dropping mild acid because its so self referential and feeds back on itself.

White Nationalism is a bit like Yugoslavia at the end, trying to hold together something nostalgically neomythological, but it never really existed in the first place.White people fought with and hated each other for as long as they could. When they discovered the rest of the world they focused on that cos there was money to be made but they never lost their initial fundamental disunity.

Its only been with new world white English cultures like North America and Australia that the initial divisions could be clouded by time and distance.

Really. In Australia its usually people on the right of politics that criticise lefties for still living with their parents. Tho I seem to remember the "living in your parents basement" thing was also a common insult from "masculine right wing" types, whether they were referring to "nerds", or lefties/liberals in the US. If antifa use it good on them. Its equality in action.

Anyway i'm obviously spamming replies but I've just read the whole thread so i've got a few things on my mind.

Funny ... looking at all the pictures of ADs boyfriends, Jack and his lads, its funny how they all look the same.

I mean obviously they're all white and look like they should be in a TLotR trailer, but they also carry themselves the same way.

In some ways its a pity Hugh's gone cos once upon a time we would have chatted about how armoured, as in "muscular armouring" their thoracic region was and reflect on Wilhelm Reich's Mass Psychology of Fascism. I guess that's all old hat for you guys. Maybe I should get with times.

Kneejerk me-tooism is not necessarily a good thing if the original action is questionable, equal or not.

" He answered the door in a sweat-stained t-shirt at the door of his mother’s own private property yesterday."

So, they know it's his mother's private residence, but include pictures all the same

I was a little puzzled why AD's overzealous copypasta thread activity was tolerated for so long, in spite of many clear and varied criticisms.

I mused that one reason was that, in the eyes of some, he filled a Hugh-shaped hole
