antifa notes (february 14, 2016) : United Patriots Front and One Nation

UPFToowoomba

The United Patriots Front (UPF) held a meeting in Toowoomba yesterday at the Toowoomba Indoor Bowls Hall, the official launch of their political party ‘Fortitude’. From the one photo which has been published of the event, it appears that around 40 or 50 individuals attended –meaning that they were almost certainly outnumbered by the number of flags the UPF used for the occasion.

To celebrate their triumph, the UPF retired to the Burke & Wills Hotel. The manager of the pub later appeared in a video published by the UPF, stating: Hi guys I’m Nathan I’m at the Burke & Wills Hotel. I’ve just had a phone call — ah, an email — from head office, who is reporting having seen on Facebook, from a David Foster I do believe it was, that there was a group of neo-Nazis coming to my hotel here. I have responded, informing my reception staff to email back to head office, letting them know, that the 20-odd people that have come in for in meals and drinks tonight, are the leadership and members of Australia’s newest political party.

Leaving aside the fact that Fortitude is yet to register, Nathan may like to read a little bit more about UPF fuehrer Blair Cottrell, the Holocaust denialist who congratulates him on his support for the party. See, for example, Blair Cottrell, rising anti-Islam movement leader, wanted Hitler in the classroom, Michael Bachelard and Luke McMahon, The Sydney Morning Herald, October 16, 2015 and Quotations From Chairman Cottrell (July 27, 2015).

(The UPF is holding another meeting in Orange on February 20.)

Blair Cottrell for example.

Mr Cottrell, who has claimed on social media that he spent time in prison for arson after burning down the house of a man who had sex with his then girlfriend, has also recommended violence against women.

"Women have manipulated me using sex and emotion; demoralization," he wrote in a comment on a YouTube video, "and I have manipulated them using violence and terror.

"We use what we have got to get what we want."

In another post he wrote that women are "attracted to strength", and the secret to keeping them faithful was to "care less about them and even crack them around the ear every once in a while".

Mr Cottrell has also written regularly about Jews.

"The Jews are as small physically as they are degenerate in character *... Enjoy your bullying of the lesser nation of Palestine while you can, because the white races are coming for you."

In another he says Jews "infiltrate and subvert entire generations of other nations in a bid for world power" and are "a much deadlier enemy than the violent Islamic pillagers, who just kill and maim openly".

A practical anti fascist perspective against this jerk is to stand out in public when he tries to rally his wannabe tough guy followers in their attempts to intimidate politicians, muslims, jews and whoever else he doesn't like. Including Palestinians if they happened to be in Australia.

* Tell that to Todd Goldstein...

AD, now that you've shown examples of extremist white nationalist, fascist and Nazis could you please outline examples of masculinity males should exhibit that are good and proper? What are good healthy masculine traits men should demonstrate in their day to day lives? What role models should they look to? What men have, past or current, demonstrate traits you believe men should look to?

AD's sites aren't even pretending to be "resistance" or "opposition" voices anymore. They are just straight up organs of the regime, albeit atrophied ones. East Germany style but woefully more inept.

Yeah, pure coincidence that the message is exactly the same as the MSM.

Yet similar stuff from last decade usually positioned itself against the mainstream.

Occupy, the printeps erable, and things like that produced people who nowadays are vehement defenders of the would-be mainstream narrative.

In fact these are the only people I meet who support some of the bigger whoppers out there right now like ones about Syrian moderate rebels

This has fuck all to do with "Syrian rebels".

The guy that wrote the blog AD linked to at the top of the page has been saying the same thing for over 10 years. i know cos I've been reading it since before I came here. The MSM hates anti fa people in Australia with the same passion it hates unions.

Most Aussies don't like the racist divisive shit the UAP or the UPF or whatever the fuck they are now spew constantly. They don't like their threats to burn down mosques or Muslim schools.

That blogger "andy flemming" has a bounty on his head and every time the patriot arseholes think they have identified him (so far they haven't) some poor bloke has to go into hiding because a bunch of neo nazi thugs think said poor bloke is writing that blog and they want to, at the very least, put him in hospital.

"Atrophied organ of the regime" my arse. He's just some guy who doesn't like racist thugs and supports a stupid footy team.

So who is protecting him then?

When are we going to see antifa articles about the Muslim Brotherhood or Anglo-American freemasonry, speaking of masculinities

OK - apart from what Iam said, cos if I did know his name or who is 'protecting him" there is no way I'd write either here....

Who is protecting him?

from those idiots? I'd say no one if he is smart about it.

But I imagine if it comes down to it his mates. people he gets drunk with, goes to the footy with, listens to music with or whatever. plays darts at their local...

His mates .. thats how it works. Your friends look out for you and you look out for them.

This is all local (as in Australian, but its a small country considering how big the land mass is,) politics. What have the Muslim Brotherhood done in this country? Nothing. That's what. Friom what i understand antifa is a local thing made up of local people responding to local concerns. Whatever some wankers might think in Australia it doesn't include Creeping Sharia....

Masculinity of the Left - 'antifascism'

I'm making this equation in the spirit of the earlier stages of this thread, where 'masculinity' is ironic and is largely strutting and symbolic.

--------------------------------

First, a slight detour that follows on from what Wombat talked of a few pages back, that anything that goes towards building high-trust societies is antifascism. I pretty much disagree with this in that something that is 'anti' should also be specific. I'm open to arguments though.

I frequently pick up litter on my road, have a system about it and encourage others to do the same, it's a fairly routine procedure that I don't give much thought to anymore. This morning though a thought popped into my head... "Does this make an antifascist?"

I would say that Wom's equation is one that enables a person to invent a fantasy role (or inflate an existing one), and this brings me back on course...

--------------------------------

All that the strutting and symbolism would go along with a big dollop of fantasy, and a good number of keyboard warriors, when their loins are stimulated by this subject matter, seem to leap all too quickly to talking of punching skinheads and pissing on them in litter bins (using some recent examples). Whilst this sort of stuff has its place, it seems odd that stuff that is actually relevant to this environment is sidelined so readily. I wonder if testosterone plays some part in this.

Anyway, this will be something I may notice a bit more of in future, those trouser bulges in response to antifascist porn
" Orwell feared those who would deprive us of information. Huxley feared those who would give us so much that we would be reduced to passivity and egoism"

That could be a good segway into finding out what traits the "proper" healthy (and not politically correct) masculine male exhibits. Seems like we need a definition of masculinity here. Peacock strutting is not necessarily masculine, neither is what kind of car you drive or how much money you make or your politics...at least by my standards.

In the context of healthy masculinity, but not necessarily talking specifically about it, I'd like to refer to these pictures in the following posts:

and

Look at all the muscular arming, especially over the area some people refer to as the heart chakra, an'hata. How many people do you see walking around with that sort of armouring trying to give off the impression of toughness?

Heaps of 'em. They look like they're on the juice, but only work out their arms, chest and shoulders.

Compare that to a gymnast or many other athletes and you'll see how relaxed they look before they actually compete. They aren't walking around like they have a metal rod between their shoulders. Well the good ones aren't. They are saving their energy for when they'll need it. You can see the same thing in all the martial arts, MMA and whatever other fighting sports you care to watch on youtube. The best fighters are always relaxed except when they are striking hard.

Its not always the case, but its definitely a trend that young men who want to appear tough, patriotic and attracted to the sort of right wing groups we see in this thread, especially the ones in Australia, want to walk around with their chest armoured and all their muscles puffed up on some permanent aggressive display. That interferes with chi flow through the chest and through an'hata. An'hata is associated with things like compassion, love, charity, by passing the "lower" self (concerned with its own needs etc) for the "higher" one. Which is more altruistic, less selfish etc etc.

I find it makes a lot of sense that the young men who carry themselves like that are associated with groups that don't really have much compassion, empathy or sympathy.

They have a blockage in An'hata chakra. the big arms and puffed out chest inhibit actual chi flow but probably reflect people who really need some sort of healing. They're hurt inside and go around with this massive protective wall that seems to make them look tough and protects their hearts from more pain. Now I consider that unhealthy.

I guess its easy to be pissed off at them cos the consequences of their actions are so annoying and potentially dangerous. And when they threaten us saying "Oh you poor thing have a hug" isn't going to de-escalate the situation.

At the same time they are behaving like children and need to grow up, man up and drop their baggage. They need to harden up mentally so they can learn to soften a bit psychically. The irony of what they do is that it usually slows their reactions and limb movement and makes pressure points on their arms and torso more vulnerable.

Heads Up Chicago: Fascism is Coming to Town

FEBRUARY 11, 2016 ~ KELLY HAYES

From the “neo-masculinist” fans of the Return of Kings website to the openly fascist, rape apologist Boyd Rice, purveyors of hatred and misogyny have apparently decided that Chicago is their kind of town. Undeterred by our famously bitter weather, but ultimately dissuaded by the threat of worldwide reprisal, a planned gathering of Men’s Rights Activists was recently cancelled in Chicago – as were gatherings in a total of 43 countries around the world. Now, another hateful presence is poised to make itself felt in our city, and this time, there’s money involved.

Boyd Rice, whose published views on sexual assault include the idea that “Rape is the act by which fear and pain are united in love” and that forcible sex acts are “the triumph of harmony through oppression,” has booked an upcoming show at a Chicago venue. The performance, currently scheduled for June 12, 2016, at The Empty Bottle, will allow fascist friendly attendees to enjoy Rice’s musical stylings for the low price of $12.50.

But what is the cost to our city of allowing such people to profit from hate in our communities?

Rice, who actually appeared in full Nazi-garb for an interview with white-Supremacist Tom Metzger, has rejected claims that he is a fascist, despite having publicly stated that there is an intellectual conspiracy behind criticisms of Mein Kampf. Rice also expressed, in his interview with Metzger, that he hoped his music would mobilize greater white pride in the United States.

While Rice has rejected attacks on his fascism, when confronted, claiming that his pro-fascist statements have been the stuff of pranks, his hateful words and actions speak for themselves. Like the much-despised MRA blogger Roosh V, Rice falls back on claims of satire while addressing criticism, and espouses hatred when interacting with audiences that embrace such language. And as Rice’s critics have long pointed out, Rice’s brand of industrial music (described in promotional materials as “post-punk inspired apocalyptic folk/industrial” – whatever the hell that means) is presented to its fans as “a celebration of fascist ideals,” rather than a mockery or interrogation of neo-nazi aesthetics, and has served as a vehicle for the popularization of racist ideas. Under such circumstances, one might be moved to ask if Rice’s intentions are even relevant to any consideration of his work.

Whether Rice’s promotion of fascism is employed merely for its shock-value (which seems decidedly unlikely, given all available evidence), out of genuine belief, or for sheer financial gain, the end result is the same: white supremacy is granted an artistic vehicle, and communities are forced to play host to commercialized rallies for neo-fascists.

Outrage over Rice’s politics has caused numerous venues to cancel previous events. Given Chicago’s overall distaste for brazen fascism, it seems very possible that public pressure could garner the same result here. At the very least, consumers and artists may want to steer clear of a venue that plays host to pro-rape nazi fans.

Chicago’s organizing community includes numerous anti-racist groups and acts of protest seem likely, should the show go on. A previous Boyd Rice show, here in Chicago, was interrupted by a smoke bomb, presumably wielded by an anti-fascist, so it seems likely that some community members are well aware of Rice’s politics, and stand ready to push back. But while the thought of confronting fascists may appeal to some, hate-driven profit is at stake here, and that profit should be denied.

So if you’re disturbed by the thought of Rice profiting from racism and misogyny in our town, contact the Empty Bottle and let them know what this artist is all about, and that fascism is not welcome in Chicago.

Just Say Non: Nazism, Narcissism and Boyd Rice

ImageThings start to take a more genuinely sinister turn when, as the next stage in the planned development of his psychopathy, he decides to stalk a waitress from a local restaurant. He follows her around to learn about her daily movements and then engineers a 'chance' meeting with her on her way home from work. This leads to a date after which, back at the woman's flat, he talks her into letting him tie her up for some S&M fun. Once she is bound he goes into the kitchen to fetch a carving knife then convinces the woman that he is going to cut her open. He then suddenly departs, leaving his victim terrified. Such violent misogyny would become a staple of Rice's life. In 1994's 'Revolt Against Penis Envy' (notice the acronym) he works himself up into a fever of hatred and contempt for women;
"At one time all was right with the world. It was lorded over by men who imposed their will by force. Women kept their mouths shut, underlings knew their place... In a once glorious past, woman was a creature without rights; a second class citizen... She was part cook, part whore, part servant and all child... Woman must be put in her place... These days the only way to restore balance between the sexes is by fear and pain... Rape is the act by which fear and pain are united in love... Now is the time to subjugate. Now is the time to dominate. Now is the time to rape. Let the RAPE commence. Go forth! Rise up! Rape, rape, rape!" [81-83]

Clearly this was written as a provocation and, according to the reasoning usually applied to Rice, can't be taken entirely seriously. But why not? If the ideas conform to his practice we can assume that for all that these opinions are expressed so as to 'provoke', they nevertheless also represent his thinking. In her book, Drugs are Nice, Lisa Crystal Carver (aka Lisa Suckdog) details the long-term mental and physical abuse she suffered as Rice's partner and the mother of their child, leading to a brutal attack which saw her badly injured and Rice imprisoned ("Boyd strangled me and threw me against walls and bashed my head against the futon frame, [finally he] released his hands from my neck and stood up, dazed, like a big, stupid oaf and smacked his lips with the satisfaction of having given in to impulse".
