Where on Earth have you pulled the concept of Islamaphobia for in this instance? It isn't present in the recent discussion here, and neither is it present in the article you link to.

Had a look back and there was a only a vague mention of Islam way back. Hitler's Brownshirts were evoked after that (and of course we needed a picture), so maybe they need to be properly banished too:



Looking at these full length views, it's apparent that their trousers are also brown. As it has been remarked that fascists and antifascists are sometimes indistinguishable, they could arguably use the same uniform. As the fascists are already well known as brownshirts, the antis could adopt the nickname of The Brown Trousers.

Leading White Nationalists Credit Trump With Empowering The 'Pro-White' Movement

It’s no secret that Donald Trump has become the candidate of choice of white nationalists, including Jared Taylor, a leading figure in the white nationalist movement, who recorded a robocall in favor of Trump before the Iowa caucuses.

That image was only reinforced earlier this month when Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., appeared on the notorious white nationalist radio program “The Political Cesspool.”

On Saturday, Taylor joined “Political Cesspool” host James Edwards on his program, where the two expressed optimism about the future of what Edwards called the “pro-white” movement, something that they attributed in part to Trump’s candidacy.

Edwards gushed about an “awakening happening within the spirit of our people” that was beyond his “wildest dreams” when he started his program.

Taylor said that he too was “hugely encouraged” by the growth of the movement, particularly among “young people” who have “grown up with it.” He described it as “a real sea change.”

“The most visible manifestation of this is the support for Donald Trump,” Taylor added. “Donald Trump is an opportunity for ordinary Americans to say they are fed up. And one of the big things they’re fed up about is the racial changes going on in the United States and they think Donald Trump might actually do something about it.”

“Even if he’s dog whistling about some of our issues,” Edwards responded, “he gives the people cover to come out and be more apparent in their beliefs, and I think that’s certainly a good thing.”

Lawsuit names Donald Trump, Neo-Nazi Matthew Heimbach & Others As Defendants For Inciting Rally Violence

LOUISVILLE, KY – Three activists that were at the March 1 rally for presidential candidate Donald Trump has filed a lawsuit against him and three others, including Matthew Heimbach, founder of the neo-Nazi Traditionalist Workers Party, for either inciting or participating in the attack on them at the event while they protested.

Activist Molly Shah, 36, Kashiya Nwanguma, a 21-year-old college student and 17-year-old Henry Brousseau filed a lawsuit Thursday in Jefferson Circuit Court in Louisville, where they allege the assault took place. According to the lawsuit, Trump yelled to “get them out” of the rally, which says he was directing his supporters to “use unwanted, harmful physical force to remove protesters, including the plaintiffs.” Video of the assault had immediately gone viral, and it was one of the several incidents of violence at Trump’s rallies over the previous six months that prompted progressive activists to begin major protests against the Trump campaign, leading to a complete shutdown of a rally in Chicago days later, as well as a blockade of a road leading to a rally in Arizona weeks after that.

In addition to Trump and Heimbach, who is seen in the video shoving and shouting at Nwanguma and would later publicly boast about the assault, Alvin Bamberger, who is also in the video attacking Nwanguma but would later publicly apologize, an unnamed female and the Trump campaign itself have been identified defendants as well. One article suggests it may be hard to prove Trump actually incited the violence, noting the 1969 Brandenburg v. Ohio case that notes the speech at issue must be directed to inciting, and likely to incite, imminent lawless conduct.

I Know Why Poor Whites Chant Trump, Trump, Trump

From the era of slavery to the rise of Donald Trump, wealthy elites have relied on the loyalty of poor whites. All Americans deserve better.


I’m just a poor white trash motherfucker. No one cares about me.

I met the man who said those words while working as a bartender in the Ozark Mountains of northwest Arkansas. It was a one-street town in Benton County. It had a beauty parlor, a gas station, and a bar where locals came on Friday nights to shoot the shit over cheap drinks and country music. I arrived in Arkansas by way of another little town in Louisiana, where all but a few local businesses had boarded up when Walmart moved in. In Arkansas, I was struggling to survive. I served drinks in the middle of the afternoon to people described as America’s “white underclass” — in other words, people just like me.

Across the highway from the bar was the trailer park where I lived. I bought my trailer for $1000, and it looked just like you would imagine a trailer that cost $1000 would look. There was a big hole in the ceiling, and parts of the floor were starting to crumble under my feet. It leaned to one side, and the faint odor of death hung around the bathroom. No doubt a squirrel or a rat had died in the walls. I told myself that once the flesh was gone, dissolved into the nothingness, the smell would go away, but it never did. Maybe that’s what vermin ghosts smell like.

I loved that trailer. Sitting in a ratty brown La-Z-Boy, I would look around my tin can and image all the ways I could paint the walls in shades of possibility. I loved it for the simple reason that it was the first and only home I have ever owned.

My trailer was parked in the middle of Walmart country, which is also home to J.B. Hunt Transportation, Glad Manufacturing, and Tyson Chicken. There is a whole lot of money in that pocket of Arkansas, but the grand wealth casts an oppressive shadow over a region entrenched in poverty. Executive mansions line the lakefronts and golf courses. On the other side of Country Club Road, trailer parks are tucked back in the woods. The haves and have-nots rarely share the same view, with one exception: politics. Benton County has been among the most historically conservative counties in Arkansas. The last Democratic president Benton County voted for was Harry S. Truman, in 1948.

There is an unavoidable question about places like Benton County, a question many liberals have tried to answer for years now: Why do poor whites vote along the same party lines as their wealthy neighbors across the road? Isn’t that against their best interests?

Ask a Republican, and they’ll probably say conservatives are united by shared positions on moral issues: family values, religious freedom, the right to life, the sanctity of marriage, and, of course, guns.

Ask a Democrat the same question, and they might mention white privilege, but they’re more likely to describe conservatives as racist, sexist, homophobic gun nuts who believe Christianity should be the national religion.

But what if those easy answers are two sides of the same political coin, a coin that keeps getting hurled back and forth between the two parties without ever shedding light on the real, more complicated truth?
