There's now an official story (maybe true, maybe not) that some guy at a Trump rally tried to grab a cop's gun do he could off Trump.

British man arrested in Las Vegas tells police 'he wanted to kill Donald Trump'

A British man has told investigators he wanted to kill Donald Trump after being arrested at a campaign rally for trying to grab an officer's gun.

Court papers detail how Michael Sandford, 19, approached a police officer at the event in Las Vegas on Saturday, saying he wanted the Republican candidate's autograph.

“Sandford then attempted to seize the sidearm of Officer Jacob by grabbing the holster and handle of the firearm with both hands,” according to court documents, which also said Mr Sandford had earlier visited a gun range in order to learn how to shoot.

He appeared in court on Monday to face a charge of “an act of violence on restricted grounds”, and faces more than 10 years in prison and a $250,000 (£170,000) fine if convicted.

He was denied bail during a brief hearing. The court was told he was unemployed, living out of his car and in the US illegally.

A court-appointed lawyer said he had autism and had attempted suicide in the past.

Mr Trump's rallies have frequently attracted angry protests and occasional violence. Saturday's event at the Treasure Island Casino seemed typical, with reporters describing how a protester had been led out of the event.

Mr Sandford, who was identified by his British driver's licence, later told officers he had been living in the US for about 18 months, first in New Jersey and then California.

From there he said he travelled to Las Vegas on Thursday and had visited the Battlefield Vegas gun range, where he fired 20 rounds from a Glock 9mm pistol.

“Sandford claimed this was the first time he had ever fired a gun,” read the complaint.

When asked why he had tried to grab the weapon from the officer, he replied simply: “To shoot and kill Trump.”

About 1,500 people attended the rally, which was held in the Mystere Theater inside the Treasure Island Casino. Attendees had to pass through metal detectors manned by Secret Service, police and casino security officials.

If his attempt failed, he said he planned to travel to Phoenix, Arizona, for another rally there.

A Foreign Office spokesman said: "We are providing assistance following an arrest of a British national in Las Vegas."

Earlier in the day it emerged that Mr Trump had fired Corey Lewandowski, the controversial campaign manager who had helped him win the Republican party nomination.

It is the latest shake-up in the campaign as Mr Trump turns his attention to the November election where he will need to broaden his appeal if he is to defeat Hillary Clinton's well-organised machine.

Trump doesn't seem to be the Deep State candidate so personally I doubt this was staged. But who knows.

Challenge Trump to a hike in both places and he'd be dead within the hour given the weather. He's up for a challenge, otherwise he's a pussy.

I dunno if that was meant for me but yeah, you'd never catch me running at a marathon. Even the mile in high school I just walked it with friends and we talked about shit while everyone else was trying to "perform". Trump is down with performance. All told, I was just making a reference to the easiest way for him to drop dead is make him walk given the weather down there right now (120+). It would be very natural and non violent and then he would leave our lives forever never to be mentioned again. :partydance:

That's a ringing endorsement on this board, isn't it?

:P
Mazars and Deutsche Bank could have ended this nightmare before it started.
They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.
Don’t forget that.

Because you can't hear him constantly sniffling/snorting when he's screaming -- guy sniffs a lot. I watched about a half of it and goddammit why oh why do I have to agree with him about anything? It's been said many times, many ways, this will be one interesting Christmas.

Beginning to disagree. Just about everything he said in that speech about Clinton and neoliberal policies is true (much of it proven by the Guccifer 2.0 leaks), however, what better way to get Dems and "sensible people" to reject it than having it come out of his mouth?

I think it's timed perfectly to lure Bernie supporters to vote for him. The hatred of Hillary from "the left" is like nothing I have ever seen (just go to Elizabeth Warren's FB page and read the comments -- people are so angry that she endorsed Clinton) that If I felt my vote counted and that I HAD to vote for either Trump or Clinton, this speech might very well convince me to vote for Trump.

So how does any of this transcend what has been heard before by any politician?

Since the beginning of time?

I listened to the speech and other than drilling down on some of Hilary's misdeeds in depth there is almost nothing new under the sun that every politician promises in their vagaries to get elected. But Trump doesn't even pause to name or label bills or endeavors for his policy platforms, because they only exist as talking points for him.

Trump also is working against the fact that it takes insiders to get shit done. And unless he plans on his family and inner circles running Congress, Senate, Pentagon, State Department and the thousands of other governmental bodies there is no way he won't be able to compromise (which is what politics is really about) to accomplish anything, let alone his grandiose but vague plans.

Here are the notes I made of the speech. Can anyone tell me how Trump's promises and points are different from anything ever said before?

1. This candidate wants to create more jobs, jobs, jobs.
2. This candidate thinks all the "insiders" & "politicians" need to go who have rigged the system.
3. This candidate wants to fix all our trade deals.
4. This candidate thinks the whole economy is rigged by special interests, donors, etc.
5. The other candidate is "a liar" and only in it for the money.
6. This candidate wants to put the worker first.
7. This candidate wants rule by the people, not politicians.
8. This candidate wants to end the "special interest monopoly" in Washington.
9. The other candidate doesn't have the temperament or judgement to be president.
10. The other candidate thinks its all about them, but I know its about you, all Americans.
11. This candidate wants to stop rewarding corporations for off shoring jobs.
12. This candidate wants to make America rich again.
13. This candidate wants to bring back manufacturing back to America.
14. This candidate thinks the other candidate and family has made our competitors rich and themselves at our expense.
15. The other candidates election will be the end of our country.
16. The other candidate has made our enemies stronger.
17. The other candidate has cost people their lives.
18. The other candidate has destabilized and wasn't tough enough in the Middle East.
19. The other candidate was for the war in Iraq.
20. The other candidate doesn't recognize the threat of radical Islam.
21. The other candidate may be the most corrupt person ever to seek office.
22. The other candidate has used their influence and position for personal gain.
23. The other candidate has made deals with countries that are repressive to women and LGBT members.
24. The other candidate is not disclosing personal and business information.
25. The other candidate is probably being exploited or blackmailed by other people.
26. The other candidate has radical plans for immigration.
27. The other candidate won't represent minorities well and doesn't really care about them.
28. This candidate will appoint judges who uphold the Constitution.
29. This candidate will create really good jobs for the unemployed.
30. This candidate will cancel bad trade deals for America.
31. This candidate will lift limitation on energy production.
32. This candidate will get rid of Obamacare.
33. This candidate will pass massive tax reform creating numerous jobs.
34. This candidate will pass new ethics for the Dept. of State.
35. The common theme is: America First.
36. This candidate believes things have to change and the other candidate doesn't believe in change. (Real change, not Obama change, so I guess Trump change?)
37. This candidate believes we were once great, but now not so much, but elect me and we can be great again, bigger, better, stronger than ever before.
38. This candidate will build the best infrastructure, best military, new factories, revitalize cities, and make this country strong, strong, strong.
39. This candidate will raise wages and bring jobs, jobs, jobs.
40. The other candidate if elected will cost jobs. (jobs, jobs, jobs?)
41. This candidate will support police and fire departments.
42. This candidate will nominate really great Supreme court judges.
43. This candidate is going to make America safe again.
44. This candidate will make people dream again.

The teleprompter, reading the words of an effective speech writer.

Trump is far from lucid and far closer to lucifer. He & the chill pill keep butting each out of line to get closer to the source of all evil.
