Thanks, I suppose, for that video link, backtoiam.

Yeah. We're fucked. Trump staff is poring over all this shit now. Question is, will he come out "compassionate" or will he go for the kill. I don't see there being a difference any more. Clinton is now fair game as they say. Everything possible in the left media has done all they can. I don't think this can be surmounted for Clinton.

Also, as much as it pains me to say it, Trump could very well be telling the truth. The election is rigged. Ugh.

Well, here we are.

...this is bad for Trump isn't it if they replace Hilary with someone less toxic ?

...it may be too late for Biden to have gender re-assigment surgery however which may count against him ...

If Trump truly wants to win, all he has to do is quietly reinvent himself as a humbled, Reagan-esque "compassionate" and dial down the bombast...but of course, he can't help himself.
The biggest argument to me of this bizarro election cycle is if Trump truly wants to win. Not if he is Mussolini incarnate or how close the Trump and Clintons have been. A rare once in a lifetime
moment where the planet aligning disparate layers are converging just so, that an insane ego-maniac 80's tv celebrity is on his way to the White House.

And if he doesn't win on November 8th, he still will be pretty much at the White House in DC anyways. Literally a few blocks from the White House is the big Trump hotel

Aren't all presidents pre-ordained as figureheads in some way? The entertainment wing of the military-industrial complex is so compelling though that it's hard to remind oneself of that. We never know until afterwards. Was it someone here who coined the term "useful orphans" to place Carter and Obama in history? I heard that here first, though when I search for the phrase I'm the only one who's said it. It was someone else's concept though. Jack?

As the Obama administration legalized and legitimized various aspects of the Bush II administration's rightward lurch, I'm not so sure he was a useful orphan anymore.

I just experienced a wave of sadness/empathy for Hillary, just thinking about how she looked in the footage. She's done terrible things, and would do more if president, but she looks so damned lonely there, and of course so frail, lost... and old. Perhaps Michael Moore's maudlin tweets got to me or something. Why won't she just go live out the rest of here life somewhere in peace, and in less pain?

Just another casualty of the Empire.

At first I thought that too, how alone she looked, but then, ninety minutes later she responds to such an alarming incident that she's "Feeling great; It's a beautiful day in New York"? Hard to stay sympathetic with someone so seemingly cavalier, even, or especially, if it's about herself. Politicians :wallhead:

I remember being told by Stafford Beer of a conversation he had with Salvador Allende; Allende told him of his realisation after becoming Chilean President of just how personally isolated, extraordinarily powerless and lonely the position was. He had had little idea of that before the election and apparently it came as a big shock.

Unless she is physically incapacitated so that she literally cannot go out in public, Hillary will not drop out and nor will she be replaced. They have been working for this for far too long to let a little thing like a debilitating disease get in the way. She is going to go down in history as the first woman to be elected as president of the United States, gosh darn it, no matter what. Even if she was forced to resign within weeks after taking the oath of office, her team is going to keep fighting until she is sworn in. Anyone remember this Pink Floyd song? It seems appropriate:

The Fletcher Memorial Home (Waters)

Take all your overgrown infants away somewhere
And build them a home, a little place of their own.
The Fletcher Memorial
Home for Incurable Tyrants and Kings.

And they can appear to themselves every day
On closed circuit T.V.
To make sure they're still real.
It's the only connection they feel.
"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome, Reagan and Haig,
Mr. Begin and friend, Mrs. Thatcher, and Paisly,
"Hello Maggie!"
Mr. Brezhnev and party.
"Scusi dov'è il bar?"
The ghost of McCarthy,
The memories of Nixon.
"Who's the bald chap?"
"Good-bye!"
And now, adding colour, a group of anonymous latin-
American meat packing glitterati.

Did they expect us to treat them with any respect?
They can polish their medals and sharpen their
Smiles, and amuse themselves playing games for awhile.
Boom boom, bang bang, lie down you're dead.

Safe in the permanent gaze of a cold glass eye
With their favorite toys
They'll be good girls and boys
In the Fletcher Memorial Home for colonial
Wasters of life and limb.
