I'm glad your sense of humour is intact, it is very important.brekin » Wed Nov 09, 2016 9:41 am wrote:Thanks for that. This reminded me that I still have a sense of humor.RocketMan » Wed Nov 09, 2016 1:36 am wrote:Yes, exactly. This election has certainly brought a new wave of respect for the US mainstream media here on RI!MacCruiskeen » Wed Nov 09, 2016 9:29 am wrote:Well, CNN would, wouldn't they? They'd blame it on aliens if they had to. But they don't have to (yet), so Castro Noriega Milosevic Saddam Gadhaffi Al Qaeda Putin will do just fine in the meantime.brekin » Wed Nov 09, 2016 1:13 am wrote: Also, CNN was just talking about Russia interfering in the election on one side.
I'm trying to hold on to the one perceived positive here: a possible detente with Russia.
Yes. WWIII has been avoided folks! The new emissary of peace, Ghandi with a weave, is about to be elected.
The world is about to turn its back on us.
You survived Reagan, you'll survive Trump.
Reagan had fucking Licio Gelli in the front row at his inauguration.
This is my Facebook update on the election, I reckon it's the only thing I'll say about that there:
Things I'm thinking about this morning:
1) Why does it seem that a buttered piece of bread always drops to the floor with the buttered side down?
2) Why does it feel like the rain always starts just as I open the front door to go out?
3) Why do so-called "protest votes" always seem to be channeled to proto-fascist right-wing demagogues?

So she spends all that time decrying Trump because he wouldn't come out and say he would accept it if he loses, and then goes ahead and fails to come out and accept her loss. Hilarious.

Did Democratic Underground really get hacked, or did it just close up shop after having finally served its ultimate purpose?

I reckon Trump convinced her the votes were hacked, and she'll protest.
Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling the transmission.

Indeed, the simultaneous convergence of CNN and FOX starting to repeat "tomorrow morning" is pretty suspect.General Patton » Wed Nov 09, 2016 2:10 am wrote:Hillary has not conceded

Re: 2016 Election Day Night
It's not hilarious. It's fucking tragic because we have no earthly clue who actually won or lost because most of the votes are counted by black box software. And it's fucking tragic that anybody suggesting an election could be rigged is automatically held up for ridicule for simply stating the obvious.Agent Orange Cooper » 09 Nov 2016 07:12 wrote:So she spends all that time decrying Trump because he wouldn't come out and say he would accept it if he loses, and then goes ahead and fails to come out and accept her loss. Mazars and Deutsche Bank could have ended this nightmare before it started.
They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.
Don’t forget that.

The Voice of Liberalism, 9.11.2016:
1. Those awful Russians must have done it.
3. Green voters assisted them.
3. Bernie is to blame, too.
4. CNN tells us all we need to know.
5. What happened to our trustworthy election system? It's suddenly broken.
6.This is all so embarrassing. The world loved us for choosing Obama, and now I can't show my face in Paris again.
7. The working class is unspeakably disgusting.
8. Perhaps democracy is overrated...?
9. The military should intervene to save us.
10. Of course it's messy, but we're fighting fascism here.
[...]
14. Why are you pointing that gun at me, officer? Do you know who I am?
