I'm sorry to hear about the Section 12, Fourthbase. One of the great things about RI is that it's a safe place to speak whatever is on one's mind, even things that friends and family would find objectionable or disturbing. I'm not convinced that pizzagate is 100% real, but neither can I just dismiss it. There are some real concerns out there. I'm not sure what can be done about it because, as I've said before, there IS no smoking gun . . . nothing that immediately leads to an arrest or search warrant being issued. Some people have shown music videos that they've claimed are smoking guns, but they are not. A smoking gun is clear and direct evidence . . . not artistic innuendo.

As there are concerns about pizzagate, I see that there are legitimate concerns from the artistic community. Some art is disturbing. Some might even inspire people to do disturbing things. However, we can't have a witch hunt for disturbing art and artists. That's exactly what right-wing fascist Christians want . . . a purge of everything unholy. I think we all agree that pedophilia is evil and intollerable, but when does the "intollerable" extend to other art that is just "satanic" or when it extends to simply the unorthodox?

Speaking of artist, I kind of made a joke about it earlier, but upon further thinking I'm going to post it again. I can't be the only one familiar with Arlo Guthrie's magnum opus.

Case in point: I think Laetitia Sadier is probably a witch. A good witch , but if I didn't know any better, if I were part of the /pol/ 4chan swamp, I would probably be sniffing around her very doggedly for the bad kind of witch. We need good witches. THE WORLD NEEDS GOOD WITCHES.

At the same time, if there are bad witches, witches who murder and eat conscious* babies for example, then they need to be, at a minimum. hunted, arrested, rounded up, sterilized, children removed by however many non-corrupt agencies exist, and then exiled to a solitude of fortress the size of a small country, where they can live out their lives however they wish, with running secured dialogue between the two worlds, until one of the worlds, the walled off one, withers and vanishes, and the rest of the earth is left relatively normal. Guru hit many spots in his essay. But one hamartia moment is thinking that we are all too implicated in what is at the core of Pizzagate to complain much and definitely too implicated to deliver justice the way some are egging to deliver it. And that is the choice, folks.

1) All babyeating ghouls give up and get exiled forever.

Also, one thing that always drove me bonkers (figuratively, lol!) about Vigilant Citizen's schtick is that he never pondered the possibility that some of the art he analyzed was NOT created to reinforce and normalize the evil, BUT to desperately warn the world about it. It is kind of like the Poe's Law of Evil. Both the evil perp and the D'Onofrio in all the world's various Law & Order SVUs and Criminal Minds, are looking through a dark-as-hell lens. Gotta always be able and WILLING to make those distinctions with maximum care, or else we would start suspecting people like Project Willow, which would be a total travesty and, simply, evil of us.

The feature film "Spotlight," while fairly slathered in screenwriting smarm, makes some good operational points about presenting & packaging such narratives. I'm not saying you'll re-watch it several dozen times while filling up a mead notebook of insights, but it's a worthy way to spend 90 minutes.

One major reason RI can be rancorous, I've long suspected, is the temperament of those who would research such subjects in the first place.

Like any other creative endeavor, there's a lot of solo heavy lifting that goes on in advance of bringing in a team. RI becomes a nexus where many tributaries meet, and we witness a lot of ideas getting exposed to Other People for the first time. And we're really not an ideal spot for that.

Scaling collaborative communities is a very tricky thing. All opinions & perspectives are not equal -- not fucking remotely. Every single human being you add to the mix is capable of exponentially increasing the amount of noise in your signal chain.

(I am reminded of a website launch from last year where the client was quite keen to go live "too soon by design" and then "crowd-source" the final testing with their "tech genius" userbase. Turns out paying customers aren't really into doing unpaid QC work. They're also pretty terrible at it. We wound up spending months just answering the volume of email complaints we received in the span of less than 48 hours. We could have put our own team on testing it and been done in two weeks, tops, based on previous projects.)

So you could take what you've got, bang out a 20k word mega-post on Reddit, and see what the team there makes of it. (Statistically, they will not bite. Most Reddit content just dies.)

The real value of Reddit for subjects like this, methinks, might not even be the breadth of the userbase so much as the implication of its sheer size: there's probably more than a few actual law enforcement agents killing time in the office and at home scrolling around on Reddit. It's a lateral leak that corrodes Need To Know, when nuclear footballs are being open source'd on Twitter and state secrets are available via web browser.

I'd also recommend taking a page from young Jared Kushner and failing fast, aka iterating quickly. Don't make a single post with a single account; carpet bomb at some depth and then track all of your efforts using the same metrics. See what's working and dedicate your subsequent efforts there.

Your message will need some honing & testing before it's ready to really grab people like the cluster of evidence around Podesta & Alefantis has. You're really the only adequate judge of whether or not you're keeping that message intact during the process.

What you really need more than anything, during that testing phase, is an audience with prior context, though, innit? You're not going to get useful feedback from anyone else. (This, perhaps, being the real value of RI.)

Room number 5 in the "ED Annex", which is the truly secured area of the hospital, I guess. This is the reward for exhibiting sanity, I guess. "South Shore Mental Health" is who South Shore Hospital outsources their mental health evaluations to, apparently. I was visited by two ladies from South Shore Mental Health the other day. "Jaimie Murray" and then "Marie Stedman", both of whom seemed to be attempting the very understandable trick of having one's ID lanyard turned the wrong way so that the name is not visible, something I would do if I were them, too, probably. Except that I would feel a duty to be transparent, even more than that self-preservation impulse to not let the crazies know your name, because, in some cases anyway, I would be a person vested with the power to take away another persons' civil and constitutional rights, their dignity, their freedom, their control over their own body. Miss Murray and Miss Stedman, both of whom are employed in the field of "social work", or so it said on their ID and what they told me, have the power -- by not just observing but *interpreting* my speech, posture, diction, gestures -- to rape my rights. And, apparently, they decided, one or both, that I am such a danger to *myself* (Huh?) that I must be *forcibly* moved, against my will, to a placement location of THEIR choice, South Shore Mental Health, that is, the place that contracts with South Shore Hospital to make these potentially life-and-death and these definitely freedom-or-cage decisions, decisions apparently made by social workers. Neither of whom remembered my old shrink at that exact place, Dr. Philip Quinn, who was a major figure there, at SSMH, only 16-17 years ago, if not even more recently. Who each met with me for about, oh, 10 minutes. Not long. See, I think I made them nervous, simply by being too sane and reasonable and calm and non-threatening. They do list "agitated" and "paranoid" as their priestly judgement of me in the system, and I cannot lie, yes, I have variously been both, here, and at home, for about three weeks. But I would assert that agitation and paranoia are actually pretty rational reactions to what I had been encountering, both here and at home. Not *total* agitation or *total* paranoia, no. Just a partial and provisional kind. Guided by Bayes, i.e., adjusting the confidence I have in this or that hypotheses or set of hypotheses, depending on the data I'm seeing, observing, rationally, objectively, changing as new data comes in. So. For example, when I finally decided that working at the Home Depot by Quincy Adams and being a consummate professional for seven months but not receiving almost any recognition whatsoever and in fact only ever getting a reprimand a couple times for ridiculously petty reasons, like the time a nearly completely useless and gutter-level profane female co-worker at the Paint Desk where I worked (and LOVED my job!) reported me to management for wanting a smoke break and for taking it at the time allotted but not guaranteed in the employee manual, the same smoke break this co-worker who reported me would every day enjoy, several times, way more than the number allotted in the manual, at random times all throughout the day, as she just wandered around the store while the rest of us in Paint actually did work, although she was pretty good at stocking product, and I guess she has a way with children because she seems to be the person assigned to run all the children's workshops, which get really great numbers of customers at the store, #2608, for some reason. I cannot say who, but I heard multiple oral reports from fellow frustrated hard-working employees that this co-worker, who is the epitome of a South Shore party girl, always partying every night or close to it, with seemingly the whole of management of the store, by the sound of their reminiscing the day after, gets so many awards and bonuses because of alleged sexual favors. Again, she is an employee who by all objective measurements should be fired or suspended for poor performance every day, multiple times a day. She got multiple Homer Awards while I had been there. Enough to get a cash bonus! I got: Zero. I deserved, objectively: Many. So, that was a big reason why, the week of the election, the week that the abominable truth of Pizzagate broke online, I resigned from my position there. Because the situation there produced a little bit more anxiety than the low-grade constant kind I was already feeling that week. Now, check THIS out: I have recognized two staff members here in the last three days. One, who I saw twice walking by on the first day here, is named Sandy, and she worked as a cashier at the same Home Depot I did, directly across from me, for hours at a time. She's great, a sneaky-hilarious broad, a cool customer, lol, some kind of speech impediment but she overcomes it with charm and aplomb, I trusted her then and *still* do. So I was overjoyed to see her here, of all places, and I waved enthusiastically, saying her name, and she smiled and waved back silently. First time when I saw her I was in the hallway, and I figured she was visiting somebody like a friend or relative. I said, "Look, Sandy, I'm going places!" and motioned to my pathetic self and lol'd. Second time I saw her was later that night, after I had been moved into a room. I don't think she expected to see me that time, she was taken aback a little. I was no less enthusiastic. Then one of the nurses told me Sandy works upstairs in some capacity. Okay, now, NEXT person I recognized was today, and believe it or not, it was a friendly repeat customer of mine at Home Depot! I didn't remember this at first, see, what happened was that I heard some guy being checked in as an employee of South Shore Mental Health and hopped up to adamantly inquire, AS I DO, if he was there for me, and if so then I would refuse to see him until I consult a lawyer. He didn't like that answer. Somebody asked why I was acting unsettled by him, and though I instantly knew I recognized him somehow, I still couldn't place exactly where. So I said, "I just don't like his look." Until I found out tonight from a new nurse here that my fate was entirely in the hands of South Shore Mental Health, led probably by this guy, who only would tell me his first name. Hmmm. I wonder if he is Italian. He looked a little bit like another Italian named guy in the news lately, a disgraced politician of sorts.

There also happens to have developed a "curse" at the Paint Desk. Every guy from the original squad of four has abruptly and mysteriously left Home Depot just days, each time, after being transferred from Paint. Except that I just resigned, never wanted to transfer from Paint. Tim! Ross! Dan!

Ross in particular had a friend die from an overdose right before leaving. I just happen to know about that poor.kid who died via another friend.

p.s. my immediate supervisor there was a friend of Sara Colb's still, the woman who orchestrated my 2008 pink slipping along with her mother MARIE TURNER, DOCTIR, PULMONARY SOMETHING, TUBERCULOSIS SPECIALIST, PLEASEGOOGLEHER, believe it or not, what are the odds.
