You're welcome, Elvis. Glad you read them and liked them too. Maupin's and Allday's articles are more truthful and informative and interesting than a thousand hours of BBC or CNN reports, and it takes just one hour max to read both of them slowly.

Meanwhile, American Dream is reduced to posting dumb second-hand slanders of Eve Bartlett. Predictably, and inevitably. He has nothing better to offer, and people with integrity and honesty (and actual knowledge and competence) just have to be beaten down at all costs.

Compare Louis Allday's very dry description of his own foul treatment at the hands of pseudoleftists. The Empire does not take kindly to defeats. (Ask the Vietnamese, or the Cubans.)

Of course, Western media (from Democracy Now to New York Times) have been quite disgusting in the coverage of Syria. There is a rigid line and not one medium is allowed to deviate from. They all sing the same tune. You can't distinguish between them. Eva Bartlett rightly criticizes those media but she concludes by sounding like an apologist of the Syrian regime when she says that her evidence of public support for Bashshar in Syria is...the elections. Let me state this: Ba`thists (in Syria and Iraq) never once held a free elections. Free elections and Ba`thism don't go together.

Syria Elections International Observers: “Polls Passed in a Democratic and Positive Atmosphere”
By Global Research News
Global Research, June 04, 2014
ITAR-Tass

Observers at the presidential elections in Syria are unanimous that the expression of people’s will was valid and the polls passed in a democratic and positive atmosphere.

On Wednesday morning, observers met for a roundtable meeting at Dama Rose Hotel to give their assessment to presidential elections. Observers include members of parliaments from Russia, Iran, Brazil, Venezuela, North Korea, Tajikistan, the Philippines, Uganda, as well as representatives of Canada, the United States, Ireland, Pakistan, Malaysia and Bahrain.

An Iranian observer opened the meeting accusing the US and its European allies of the policy of double standards when “an obvious free choice of Syrian people is put into doubt by Washington and its allies.” He urged a US observer to explain why such anti-Syrian hysteria took place. However, the US observer levelled a harsh criticism on the White House, pledging that upon return to the homeland, he would inform the Americans about a real situation in Syria.

The meeting continues behind closed doors. Observers promise to inform the press about the results of the meeting after consultations.

Yeah, a cheaply moralising cheap shot and not even factually accurate. A drive-by shooting by a fence-sitting know-nothing. (Yes, I'm angry about this.)

The methods are legion. Compare the BBC's spamming of the public with sanctimonious photos of girls in Turkey, lying claims of worldwide mass grief, and completely irrelevant tweets from Brazilian supermodels and Illinois schoolteachers. This stuff explains precisely nothing about Syria and doesn't even pretend to. It is just nauseating emotional manipulation,

The Empire won't take this defeat lying down. Expect revenge. But its hands are a bit tied up right now while the facade of democracy crumbles at home.

It really takes some damn cheek for a US citizen to wag his finger about the integrity of Syria's political system, or any other country's, especially in December 2016. But conscience didn't get the Empire where it is today.

^^
in this picture they're leaving Aleppo

Jesus wept .. Yes, they're leaving Aleppo, because Aleppo has been wrecked, as everyone knows, and as the photos you yourself posted very clearly show. There was a war there, you know. The city was held by jihadists who refused to give it up.

Where's Lina Sergie Attar's evidence for her big claim that those people are going to be "silenced" by "Assad" and his "stooges"? How does she know? Did she talk to them? All of them? Did she take that photo herself? Where is she tweeting from, exactly? Who is she? Do you have good reason to believe that her claims are trustworthy?

And where's her evidence for her other big claim: that they are leaving for Idlib? (Note that she doesn't actually state it outright, she just very craftily insinuates it.)

If you're going to answer these questions, do have a good long think about it and gather the evidence carefully, because I'm out of here for at least the next 12 hours.

Goodnight now, really.

Hey I know what to do; the rules need to be changed so only American Dream and Seemslikeamericandream can post articles, then the site can renamed Rigorous Indoctrination.

So let me get this straight; we have here butt ignorant western exceptionalist supporters of imperialism that want to give more weapons to fundamentalist Muslims to destabilize a secular nation, while these same jihadis carry values and habits that we (progressives) claim to abhor.

Oh right, right, right, Nazis bad, jihadis good, I get it.

Your propaganda does not pass the smell test SLAD.
All these things will continue as long as coercion remains a central element of our mentality.

MUST WATCH VIDEO. Thanks for posting that, Sounder. Finally, a reporter actually in Aleppo interviewing actual people in Aleppo. Or maybe the Russians paid or forced those people to refute the Western media reports and say the army is on their side. Wait, that would be a consiracy theory, never mind.

Like this:

If one is trying to force a large city into submission through the application of overwhelming and deadly force, as the Syrian government is doing in Aleppo, then it is logical to target hospitals in an attempt to make life unbearable for the rebels and the population they are living amongst. Furthermore, bombing hospitals significantly reduces the fighting capability of the opposition relying on the hospitals to patch up their wounded.

Surely it is the duty of all thinking and humane people to raise their voice in opposition to this illegal, murderous and morally depraved military tactic — whether it is carried out by Western/Western-backed forces or Syrian/Russian forces?
