That's what I'm saying. If it had no HD because yes, he didn't "take it with him" there would have to be some other medium for the laptop to be useful that he also could not take with him either.
There is no me. There is no you. There is all. There is no you. There is no me. And that is all. A profound acceptance of an enormous pageantry. A haunting certainty that the unifying principle of this universe is love. -- Propagandhi

Other than "authorities" or Stephen Paddock there could have been someone in the rooms with Paddock, maybe even killed Paddock.

Hotel staff also reported hearing Stephen Paddock speaking to other people in the room while calling room service; but the FBI hurriedly instructed those proles that SP had just been "pretending" to have company, presumably as some obscure part of his dastardly plan. (How those trustworthy Feds knew this they of course never condescended to tell the hotel staff, or us.)

The latest NYtimes article on the missing HD, also says that SP continued to gamble on the weekend of the shooting.
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/25/us/s ... vegas.html

"Mr. Paddock’s activities at the hotel have been carefully tracked. He was a “lifetime winner” at MGM Resorts properties, which include Mandalay Bay. The term refers to gamblers who have won more money than they have lost over the years, raising doubts about whether Mr. Paddock had any grievance against the hotel. He also gambled during his stay the weekend of the shooting."

Just find that odd. I mean if he was gambling more for zoning out or 'getting into the zone' before his suicide mission and/or due to addictive tendencies, I guess it makes some sense.

I also thought that casinos treat people who win more than they lose as criminals. Also how do you win more than you lose over the years? Thought that's statistically impossible with casinos, but I don't have much experience with casino gambling.

EDIT: Thanks for posting that T Carlson video. Didnt realize that Campos was reported of leaving the country during the investigation. This was posted earlier in the thread I believe, but that video states that SP had access to the freight elevators as well.

You sure as hell don't get comped for winning more than you lose at video poker in Vegas.

I haven't opened up a laptop in ages...Is it that easy to just pluck out the HD?

Maybe, between mowing people down and killing himself, Paddock ripped out the HD and tossed it out the window and it hit Brian Hodge on the head in the bushes...

Oh my my my...

Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock’s brother allegedly threatened to kill his friend, sold meth: court papers

Las Vegas killer Stephen Paddock’s unbalanced brother allegedly once threatened to kill a friend in California, court records show.

Bruce Paddock was living without permission in a San Fernando Valley home in 2014 when his friend Hector Cruz, the owner, accused him of tampering with machinery, the records filed in Los Angeles show.

When Cruz confronted him, Paddock allegedly said, “If you keep f------ with me, I am going to kill you and drop you in the desert.”

The 57-year-old Paddock also told Cruz, “Hit me like a man,” and punched his antagonist in one arm.

Cruz said he got the menacing message.

“I am extremely afraid of Paddock, who has intimidated me by his violent character and destruction of my business office and my service bay,” he said in court papers, according to the website.

Cruz told the Daily News and said in court papers that Paddock liked to get high and sold methamphetamine and marijuana. His behavior is “extremely erratic and unpredictable,” Cruz claimed.

He also told The News that Bruce Paddock was filled with paranoia and installed hidden cameras in the house and work area, as well as in his car.

“He said he had stuff to make explosives,” Cruz said. “He’s just a crazy guy. He was getting money from his mother and leaching off the government. He was extremely intelligent, but he was just trash.”

In a chilling coincidence, Stephen Paddock possessed explosives in his house and car. He also installed hidden cameras in the hallway and the hotel room he used as a sniper’s nest Sunday in the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

Cruz said he knew of Stephen Paddock but said he never met him. The brothers’ father was a bank robber who made the FBI’s 10 most-wanted list in the 1960s.

I think Paddock dusted it with 200 rounds of ammo. Campos was fine to drive because he only got hit with some hard drive shrapnel.

My brain hurts trying to reason why a public company such as this should be coordinating ANYTHING with the Police during an active shooter event.
I can only think of one reason why this could possibly be, and I don't want to think about that.

Wait. I think I get it. 60 Minutes aka CBS and now, ABC aka 20/20 need to make themselves relevant again. Because they know we know they know we know.... that they long ago quit the investigative journalism business. Rite? Rite???? :mad2 :evilgrin

Nah... that's silly.

That's hand-waving, though, it's no more an explanation than "Paddock looks like a dude who had issues."

The original strategy of tension was an actual strategy insofar it had a goal: to alienate Europeans from Communist parties and the Eastern bloc, and to make sure their governments remained friendly to NATO and Wall Street capital. So all the terror attacks were immediately blamed on specific groups: Communist terrorists. The attacks fed into a wider political strategy with a definite goal, measurable by certain metrics (which parties got control of government).

Now, I believe a strategy of tension is at play in the US, to scapegoat Muslims for terror attacks in order to create support for international interventions, and to provide a domestic 'other' to divert white Americans' attention from their economic problems. False flags have been used in the past, as a read over this board will attest; some other attacks look like entrapment gone too far, i.e. I think the Feds wanted to entrap the perpetrators at some point before people died but then failed (I think that's what happened in Boston). So if the designated shooter was a Muslim I would have had structural reasons to be more inclined to see agency involvement.

But how does Paddock serve this strategy? Except in the very vague sense of making Americans nervous about mass shootings - something that happens two to three times a week over there. If the shooting had been in service of such a strategy then surely it would be more scary to play up any other shootings that people here seem to suspect, rather than hide them? Gunmen shoot people down in Las Vegas and make a clean getaway, that's pretty tense. And to attribute a political motivation to Paddock, as Alex Jones is so desperate to do with his claims that there was 'Antifa' material in the hotel room? If that had happened, if they'd come up with some note or whatever, I'd also be more inclined to suspect a major covert operation.

Thanks for the intelligent, RI worthy post Stefano.

For me to entertain the idea that the LV shooting was a deep state op I would need, at the very minimum, some credible speculation on the possible motive of the deep state.

The only thing so far that to me seems awfully suspicious is the business of the missing hard drive. How and when did the shooter dispose of said hard drive? Was he known to be tech surveillance obsessed? If he did in fact somehow ditch the hard drive before the rampage, what was he trying to hide?

Ok, there were other devices in the room and it was reported that he had done searches on SWAT team procedures for storming rooms. Where were the surveillance cameras he planted in the hallway feeding into? I did read reports that the cameras weren’t operative...so why did he bother?
