We're told he suffered petechial hemorrhaging, caused when someone hangs himself or is strangled or smothered, but authorities are confident this was a hanging.

We're told the bed sheets were tied to the top of a bunk bed and Epstein either hurled himself off the top bunk or had his feet to the ground and leaned forward to cut off his air supply. Authorities believe the former is true, because throwing himself off the top bunk and falling violently to the ground could explain why his hyoid bone was fractured.

Has anyone fucking confirmed that these prisoners have "bedsheets?" Seems a bit unlikely, no?

you get bed sheets when you are taken off suicide watch

hanging from bunk bed you would become unconscious fall from bended knees before you would die

bed is not high enough

One aspect of the media coverage that has been sort of unacknowledged is that major outlets immediately were painting a picture which would predispose one to think that Epstein had recently attempted suicide, despite this being incorrect. Even the discussion of "suicide watch" is sort of obfuscating the reality of the situation, that he would obviously have been under video surveillance in any circumstance. I would assume that just being in that section of the MCC would provide a much higher level of security and control compared to the standard suicide watch protocol you would follow anywhere else, such as not having sheets etc.

THIS. The suicide concept was just brutally inserted in the public imagination and all the caveats that were published were well in the back of the articles.

This is just crude as hell, and it seems to be doing a good enough job for now. People are so well indoctrinated that they instinctively just shy away from any criminal scenario. No one denies he may have been a pimp to royalty and the world's upper echelon, but everyone also tries to tiptoe around stating that fact. And when the source of all that uncomfortableness dies, it's just "believe the authorities" all the way, no matter how blatant the motivation for an assisted suicide is.

You mean like the˙˙˙ ɐᴉssnɹ 'ɐᴉssnɹ 'ɐᴉssnɹ continuing zombie saga? "vas pokhoronim!".

Soviet premier Nikita Khrushchev gave a rousing speech in 1956 about the merits of communism that unintentionally turned the temperature on the Cold War frigid. One of the phrases he used, a Russian idiom My vas pokhoronim, was translated to mean “we will bury you” and certainly sounded like a threat to the United States. It’s a common Russian saying and refers to the idea that something will endure or that you will survive to see the funeral. [Or not]*. Delivered in Khrushchev’s blustering style, it went down in history as a misunderstanding that escalated the Cold War. *emphasis mine

Have you no capacity for boredom at all?)

Grizzly, I really think your pessimism (which you seem to have more as a program than a general philosophy or feeling) may seem strategically wise to you. It is after all a simple formula for achieving something like a 97 percent rate of getting your predictions right. (Or maybe it's 70-90 percent right, and 7-27 percent the feeling of right enough so it doesn't matter?) However, this can make you miss some important details. Such as: this is not over. I do not think any attempt to close the books on some widely exposed top-level gangster op has ever been this not over at this stage of the unfolding, going back to maybe the David Kelly murder. And this is a lot less over than that was. Here's my more risky prediction: an announcement of nothing suspicious in the "suicide" is going to have the opposite effect of making people think it's over. Also, if it was done by convincing Epstein to do it himself (simplest option, least risk), so that the forensics fit, even then no one's going to believe this case is over. It anchored itself in the consciousness, and unlike anything else in recent years, it has been anchored through undeniable facts immune to attempts to dismiss it via the "conspiracy theory" smear or the "QAnon" glom troll and distract op. Epstein and Clinton, Epstein and Trump, the Epstein case and Acosta, Epstein and Barr's father, Epstein and the Maxwells, Epstein and the claimed estate of billions that came out of nowhere with no documented clients now available to be sued by actual victims, Epstein and a long list of power elite motherfuckers. All established. Right toward the end of the half-time break of the #MeToo era. And Trump actually cooking the pot he himself is in, since all he cares about is making all-day Twitter and TV love to his base, all-day, every-day. (Who says at this stage in life he even remembers every rape he's done, statutory or otherwise?) And bang, the recession is here, inshah allah, and about to start making that base break down around the edges, finally. This is not over. This has potential for Mark Dutroux-level responses (scaled up to US proportions, and much less predictable) among all the respectable bourgeois who ain't in on it, who never went to the island, who don't a give a shit about protecting any of these characters individually.

Yes, but those who were in on it most likely still wield power and influence. I don't see anything that is incredibly special about this latest scandal of rape and abuse that others haven't swept under the rug with some suicides, accidents or framed patsies. From what I've seen from the contacts in the published rolodex there are so many "important" people that I'll be very surprised if anything remotely truthful comes out. You think Hillary is willing to let Bill go down and with his reputation Chelsea's be damaged for life? The royal family? Surely the glue they use for their house of cards is a bit stickier than most.

Would not be surprised if the role Epstein played with the large sums of money was that of a sadistic laundromat owner who got nods and winks from major a intel service(s) on a global scale.

I can cop to being a bit of a habitual, "programmatic" pessimist (something about the 97% figure, probably), but this was a very good, rational (and not in the Ben Shapiro/Jordan Peterson/Sam Harris meaning of the word) reminder of the state of play, thank you.

This article featuring audio clips of Epstein talking (or should I say "holding forth", because that describes his self-important style better) in 2003, they are actually sort of haunting now.

He seems like a bright guy, VERY bright on the surface, I can imagine him being able to convince pretty intelligent people of his intellectual prowess without ACTUALLY saying anything deep or insightful. When you combine that with flattery and a general aura of wealthiness, I'm sure it could be a heady mix. Combine THOSE with young women and girls, available for sex? A very difficult proposition to resist, especially if you're a dweeby academic.

It's fascinating, the idea that this same, apparently sophisticated Man of Letters crudely manhandled and sweatily propositioned and raped fourteen-year old girls, sometimes with sex toys. Just the fundamental ugliness of wealth accumulation.

curious how Murdoch got Maxwell pic instead of any other publication

In and out burger lol

I’d like to see her in and out of court and then in and out of jail!

gal pal

Jeffrey Epstein’s gal pal Ghislaine Maxwell spotted at In-N-Out Burger in first photos since his death
By Sara Nathan and Mara Siegler
Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged madam and former lover Ghislaine Maxwell has been discovered — at In-N-Out Burger.
Image
The 57-year-old was photographed alive and well Monday by an eagle-eyed diner at the burger joint in Universal City, Los Angeles.

Once spotted, Maxwell — who was sitting alone with a pet pooch — told an onlooker: “Well, I guess this is the last time I’ll be eating here!”

A source told The Post that a daily regular took the photo.

“He’s at In-N-Out every single day,” the source said. “He went up to her and asked, ‘Are you who I think you are?’ She replied, ‘Yes, I am.'”

Maxwell was reading a book called “The Book of Honor: The Secret Lives and Deaths of CIA Operatives” and seemed resigned to having her picture snapped, the source said.

“She was perfectly friendly, very lovely.”

Maxwell has been underground for months — and has not been pictured in public since 2016.

Asked how the photographer knew who Maxwell was, the source said: “If you’ve had the TV on, you know who she is, how could you miss her?”

The British-born socialite has long faced allegations that she served as the madam for Epstein, the disgraced convicted sex offender who died over the past weekend by apparent suicide while awaiting trial.

On Wednesday, it was reported that she has been living with tech CEO Scott Borgeson in his secluded mansion in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts, since 2016, according to a close neighbor.

Maxwell left the residence about “one month ago” when the news of her involvement with Epstein broke, a neighbor told The Post.

Borgerson has flatly denied any romance with Maxwell.

“I am not dating Ghislaine, I’m home alone with my cat,” he told The Post.

When asked about the status of his friendship with Maxwell now, Borgerson replied: “I don’t want to comment on that — would you want to talk about your friends?”

Maxwell reportedly recruited underage girls for Epstein and participated in their abuse. At least two women who accused Epstein of sexually abusing them sued Maxwell in 2015, alleging she launched a campaign to damage their reputations and discredit their allegations.

A new front in the Epstein case opened Wednesday morning as his accuser, Jennifer Araoz, filed a lawsuit against his estate, Maxwell and three unnamed female household staff members.

Araoz alleges she was repeatedly sexually assaulted by Epstein at his New York City townhouse when she was 14 and 15 years old, including a forcible rape in 2002.

She first disclosed her alleged abuse in an exclusive “Today” show interview with Savannah Guthrie on July 10, the same day she filed papers in New York state court, saying she intended to sue Epstein.

The complaint Araoz filed Wednesday alleges Maxwell and the staffers “conspired with each other to make possible and otherwise facilitate the sexual abuse and rape of Plaintiff.”

I would like for someone to ask her about "how she flew a Blackhawk helicopter in Colombia and fired a rocket into a supposed terrorist camp."

Maxwell was reading a book called “The Book of Honor: The Secret Lives and Deaths of CIA Operatives” and seemed resigned to having her picture snapped, the source said.

Author: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Gup

Gup has been a prolific writer regarding doomsday scenarios and facilities to provide for continuity of government and the preservation of important assets of civilization,[2] including the Mount Weather facility,[3] as well as intelligence issues.

In the 1992 Washington Post Magazine article "The Ultimate Congressional Hideaway,"[4] Gup was the first to reveal publicly [5] the existence of Project Greek Island, a large underground bunker at West Virginia's famed Greenbrier Resort to house the Congress of the United States in case of a nuclear attack on Washington, D.C., a revelation still considered controversial two decades after its publication.

Sorry, but I'd like to call bullshit on that picture.

Her image is so sharp compared to the rest of the picture that it looks Photoshopped to me.

FFS, why would this lady choose to hang out in full public view whilst being stalked by all and sundry, let alone at some cheapo burger joint in the middle of the street.

I'm feel mentally violated myself....
