A Lincolnshire photographer has captured a comet which is hurtling towards the Earth.
The comet, called C19, was pictured by astrological enthusiast by Jamie Cooper and will become visible to the naked eye in the coming weeks as it gets closer and closer to our planet.
It is reported to only be a few kilometres wide but it's atmosphere has grown increasingly larger, and is now about half as wide as the sun.
Strangely, the comet has been linked to coronavirus pandemic, as the frozen rocks are historically seen as harbingers of doom.

Officially called C/2019 Y4 (ATLAS), it’s a is a near-parabolic comet that was discovered by the ATLAS (Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System) survey on December 28, 2019.

Run for the hills! Pentagon sends teams into MOUNTAIN BUNKERS as pandemic preparations go into full swing
The US’ Northern Command has sent teams of essential staff deep underground to wait out the Covid-19 pandemic. On the surface, more than a million grunts won’t be quite as cocooned.
Air Force General Terrence O’Shaughnessy heads up the US’ Northern Command, as well as the North American Aerospace Defense Command – a joint US/Canadian operation that monitors the skies over North America for missile and airborne threats. Earlier this week, O’Shaughnessy told reporters via Facebook that some of his watch teams would be moved from their usual command center at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado to a number of hardened underground bunkers.
One of these facilities is the Cheyenne Mountain bunker complex, a warren of tunnels buried under 2,000 feet (610m) of granite, and sealed behind blast doors designed to withstand a 30 megaton nuclear explosion.
“Our dedicated professionals of the NORAD and NORTHCOM command and control watch have left their homes, said goodbye to their families, and are isolated from everyone to ensure they can stand the watch each and every day to defend our homeland,” O’Shaughnessy said. He also said that personnel sent underground will share the bunker with other members of the military, but he is “not at liberty to discuss who’s moving in there.”
They didn’t say “see ya later” to their families, they said GOODBYE to their families.
When this whole thing began, I felt very strongly that this “virus scare” was a hoax, and that the real story was somehow involved with the sky. I saw (and described elsewhere here on RI) a grouping of jets, passenger sized, all flying together, but at different altitudes, in a flight path that I have never seen used before directly over my town.
Also, when 2019 ended, and I was so happy it was over because it had been the worst year ever for me and my family in so many ways, I looked at 2020 with great hope and expectations, and saw a big hole taken out of it about a third of the way into the year. It really dismayed me. I had never had this intuition before about any year. Then the shot hit the fan with this “virus” thing and I just did not believe it. It did not ring true. But something was going on. Something big. But what?
