Here is the full story. As anyone with a quarterounce of a hypothalamus can see, this story has nothing to do with being Jewish or Arab. Plus, it was written by an Israeli, who might only be repeating stereotypes that are generally common in that part of the world.

Quote:
DVENTURES OF OS-012, AND THE CUBE CALLED BRAIN
a Short true Story.

Written and Posted by OS 012 user; In Finity, real name unknown (location; Israel)
at anomalies.net on March 03, 2003, 15:30:

I went to the local black market to buy me some cheap parts for a little project I'm working on... when I just arrived I encountered an old arab dude that sold Hungaric cubes, those little toys where you turn the little cubes in order to make all cubes with same color match on each side of the bigger cube... anyway, here's our conversation:

IF = me. AD = Arab Dude

IF: Whats up, what are you sellin'?
AD: Nothing for you
IF: Why?
AD: I don't sell to Yahudee (the arab equal to dirty jew)
IF: who said I am a jew?
AD: you speak Hebrew very well
IF: true, but I have nothing against arabs, and I'm pretty sure you want this *flashes 100 NIS bill*
AD: aahh *nods smiling* in that case I believe we can reach some agreement, I sell these *getting one cube outta his pocket* this toy is not for everyone
IF: how come?
AD: you have to use your brain to play it
IF: can you show me how to use it?
AD: *explaining while playing with the cube* get together all the little cubes with the same color, that is your objective
IF: that looks easy, let me try...
At that point I found myself standing there for half hour trying to get the pieces together, he laughed at me all this time...
IF: *sad and frustrated* I guess that toy is not for me...
AD: that's because you don't know what you're doing, all you do is trying to reach your objective without knowing how, I can see you are afraid to ask for my help
IF: can you help me?
AD: listen! you will never reach your objective if you blindly try to combine the cubes!
IF: you have a better idea?
AD: if you want to win you have to use logic and put your feelings aside, then, instead of frustration all you see is the will to succeed in your mission!
IF: sounds good
AD: *very angry* don't speak! use your feelings to control yourself! (look who's talkin'... ) you must forget your urge to throw away the cube, instead try to work harder and you will get to the solution! do you understand?!
IF: yeah sure, can I buy it now?
AD: Yahudee! All they see is money!
IF: *gulp* umm... sure... here's your cash, c'ya now!

When I returned home I opened up my computer and entered my favourite site, memes.org! There, I saw a link with the title "a master-meme to stop the war". sounds good to me, a few clicks after that I'm in a page called OS-012...

The next few days went by very slowly... all I did was to sit in my room, read OS-012 again and again, play my toy (without success), and sleep... I had thoughts, about every event in my life, everything I ever said, everything I ever did in those 19 years since I was born...
The day I decided I can see see the rest of the world again was the day I succeeded in playing the toy as the arab suggested, his words were getting a new meaning, between the day I got the toy and the day I managed to 'get it', I learned about two types of humans, those who give up and throw away the 'big cube' and those who are willing to continue and rearrange the 'little cubes' over and over until they finally 'get it' right...

As far as I'm concerned I used OS-012 to get those 'little cubes' working together, I can finally look at the big cube and smile, and I love it, I love it very VERY much

Edited by: fujacko at: 12/17/05 7:44 am
