That cartoon has a sinister feel to me for some reason. I think it might have been showing in the background in the movie the Twilight Zone sometime during the segment with the little kid who has special powers and teleports his sister into the cartoon playing on tv. <p></p><i></i>

What a totally weird 'toon. I am a little stunned at the not-so-subtle sexual innuendos. Lots of phallic symbols. Geesh. <br><br>Betty Boop cartoons never appealed to me when I was a child. I remember seeing Betty on TV in the 80s... 1980s UK that is, and two minute edits of the originals, played as kids cartoons. They didn't seem too risque then but looking back they were a bit more so than tweety pie and Wacky Races.<br>Haven't seen much since. <p></p><i></i>

hmmm yeah, the situation with the various 'racist' banned cartoons is not so cut + dried... certainly some pretty offensive stuff in this day + age, but also some of the greatest cartoon animation of all time! <br><br>Should definitely be preserved for artistic merit as well as historical purposes.<br><br>Plus, it's not like they were made by a bunch of KKK types or something... cartoons such as Bob Clampett's legendary "Coal Black and De Sebben Dwarfs" came about due to his genuine enthusiasm for and involvement with the jazz scene, and were made with the input and cooperation of black musicians and artists...<br><br><!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :hat --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/pimp.gif ALT=":hat"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> <p></p><i></i>
