"no comment at this time"
A reliable friend from another message board said that he called the U.S. Attorney's office to verify if this story is true or not. He said they took down his information and told him that someone would call him back. He's now reporting that someone did return his call and told him that they "have no comment at this time".

"it's all part of my rock 'n' roll fantasy"
just curious, but if Bush and co. are indicted does this, and if so how, effect their 'executive' powers ?
and if this is a grand jury sitting, surely there's some sort of reliable indication that it actually exists, apart from what's happened with the 'journo's'.

anyway, back to the fantasy.
so if they actually have been served, where are they now. aren't they in recess? where's shrubby? down at the ranch with his boots all over bab's furniture? would they be just let off the leash, even if it's only a hazy awareness, which I doubt, that things might get more than a little desperate.
and I'm wondering if Fitzgerald et. al. have acted now, with a less than satisfactory case, because they had to, and will leave the rest to tag along later.

and Fitzgerald had better come through. I've already invested $4.95 and written out a thank you card.

Go MudDucks.

Re: "No Comment at this time"...?!
Whoa, this stopped me in my tracks. So we're being stonewalled? Why a cryptic "no comment" instead of a simple "no" if it isn't true?!

There is nothing about this anywhere but here on RI, Cloak & Dagger and in the basement of DU. Okay, so now I have no doubt that the media is in on it just like with the election fraud. Is there not one person with integrity left in the media at all?! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/mad.gif ALT=">:">

Seriously, this is really getting old.

If Bush has been indicted, I have no doubt it would be covered in the MSM. Ditto Blair. It would be much too big to ignore or cover up.

Skolnick and his bunch have as much credibility as FOX News.

Use your critical faculties, peeps. There's no need to buy into something -- file it in the "maybe, but unlikely" category. And wait and see.

Do you know if they contacted the Chicago AG's office or the AG office in Washington DC?

oh my, there's people believing this story could be true.

HEY! anybody know how to do domain masking? if done tactfully, we could actually get a very large part of the population BELIEVING this stuff, and keep them updating on the progress of the case!

got no lawyers in the family to ask
i'm confused, after reading this thread and the dKos. so nixon wasn't indicted, rather was named an un-indicted co-conspirator. but legally, he COULD have been indicted, and the record sealed? is that right? not saying it has, but that CAN happen, is that right? a pres could be indicted, and if no one leaks the beans, we wouldn't know? until a trial began?

also, a pres can just plain refuse to speak under oath?? how in bloody tarnation does THAT work...even in an "only supposed" democracy?

Re: No Comment
dbeach,
Thanks for your reply. I guess I thought it'd be different this time around with the media, since Fitzgerald is so well known and this is/was being followed closely on DU. However, Will Pitt just posted a thread on DU pretty much saying Tom Flocco is a liar though Pitt posted not one shred of evidence to support his claim. I am getting discouraged as I'm on DU everyday and feeling that I'm hitting a brick wall over there with no information about the things that REALLY matter. So many are only interested in the politics game that is no longer being played in all reality. I mean how can you have a strategy for '06 when '04 and '00 were stolen in the first place?! I find it hard to care about who will run or any kind of "strategy" since it appears fruitless to begin with.

Nothing has been fixed and nothing will change until these thugs are gone. It's going so slowly and getting swept under the carpet everywhere. And that the same thing is being done on DU too-by Skinner and several other mods-really upsets me. Perhaps they're afraid, or believe the bushco lies...I have no idea.

I am frustrated, sorry for the rant.

> I am getting discouraged as I'm on DU everyday and feeling that I'm hitting a brick wall over there with no information about the things that REALLY matter.

Actually I kinda left DU since 7/7 because of the new policies. All discussions about what is going on behind the scenes are now moved to the 9/11 dungeon. I don't feel at home there anymore.

> Nothing has been fixed and nothing will change until these thugs are gone.

Indeed. The point about '06 is that unless a fast majority of voters vote for the Democrats the fraud is going to skew the results towards the Republicans and the only people who are speaking out against it are the Black Caucus and Conyers in particular. He already see that that group is being totally ignored and ridiculed in the media, so they'll no effect.

To make matters worse, they are lining up the hawks in the democratic party for the 2008 elections. I get the distinct impression that Hillary is already the preferred candidate and she already starts to move really to the right (You can't even call it centric anymore either). So what are the odds of any change in 2008?

> I am frustrated, sorry for the rant.

Don't be. Many are frustrated.
