Don't You Miss When This Was Just CT Paranoia?

Post by 8bitagent »

We need to have "smart cities", be able to "predict terror attacks", pick up on trends, buying habits, etc...all to make us all efficient and keep us safe! ..or so thats what we are being sold on.

I remember laughing and rolling my eyes whenever I'd hear the paranoid
talk of "Orwellian AI control systems" micromanaging our every move and such. Talk of biometric control grids, RFID chips, Orwellian risk management AI monitoring our every net activity and phone call, facial scanning cameras everywhere, all our data/transactions networked to a central system, and general predictions/pre crime heuristical skynet stuff.

Oh boy. I miss those days.

I recently came across some alarming things.
First, IBM(those progressive thinkers who brought us Hitler's Hollerith machines!) has been rolling out slickly produced ads that seem straight out of an Alex Jones tirade.

IBM ads: The "Smart Cities. Smart People" theme

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDNPbB6l ... re=related
summary: wouldnt it be cool if every financial transaction, blog, post, email, etc by you...turn it into "intelligence", identify patterns, and
and predict what you'll do? Oh it'll be good!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZT-1eEs ... re=related
summary: facial scanning cameras, pre crime units, biometrics, etc
will be good for you and the planet!

http://www.youtube.com/user/IBMAdvertis ... SJdB8hXOkA
summary: turning your city into a total control grid will be good for public safety

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEh6LStxY-I
summary: we need ALL your info, genetic code, medical info, pre-predicted data all connected to a central grid

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eob532iEpqk
summary: RFID chips are cool!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2eoUDLgFgfY
summary: eugenics is back, and its hip baby!

Notice how ALL this is being sold on us, not by post 9/11 fear mongering...but by slick a more "you too can be a hip young ipod listening facebook twittering smart minded liberal!"

Now for people who dont think THEY are data mining the emotional peaks
and American and foreign pavlovian responses to Balloon boy, Michael Jackson, Kanye West, Swine Flu, Obama, UHC and other trending memes
...

It looks like the CIA is openly starting to use advanced technology from outsourced companies to monitor your every email, blog, post, chat, etc

CIA Will Watch Your Every Move, Including Anti Government Views

http://www.wired.com/dangerroom/2009/10 ... ring-firm/
America’s spy agencies want to read your blog posts, keep track of your Twitter updates — even check out your book reviews on Amazon.

In-Q-Tel, the investment arm of the CIA and the wider intelligence community, is putting cash into Visible Technologies, a software firm that specializes in monitoring social media. It’s part of a larger movement within the spy services to get better at using ”open source intelligence” — information that’s publicly available, but often hidden in the flood of TV shows, newspaper articles, blog posts, online videos and radio reports generated every day.

Visible crawls over half a million web 2.0 sites a day, scraping more than a million posts and conversations taking place on blogs, online forums, Flickr, YouTube, Twitter and Amazon. (It doesn’t touch closed social networks, like Facebook, at the moment.) Customers get customized, real-time feeds of what’s being said on these sites, based on a series of keywords.

“That’s kind of the basic step — get in and monitor,” says company senior vice president Blake Cahill.

Then Visible “scores” each post, labeling it as positive or negative, mixed or neutral. It examines how influential a conversation or an author is. (”Trying to determine who really matters,” as Cahill puts it.) Finally, Visible gives users a chance to tag posts, forward them to colleagues and allow them to response through a web interface.

In-Q-Tel says it wants Visible to keep track of foreign social media, and give spooks “early-warning detection on how issues are playing internationally,” spokesperson Donald Tighe tells Danger Room.

Of course, such a tool can also be pointed inward, at domestic bloggers or tweeters. Visible already keeps tabs on web 2.0 sites for Dell, AT&T and Verizon. For Microsoft, the company is monitoring the buzz on its Windows 7 rollout. For Spam-maker Hormel, Visible is tracking animal-right activists’ online campaigns against the company.

“Anything that is out in the open is fair game for collection,” says Steven Aftergood, who tracks intelligence issues at the Federation of American Scientists. But “even if information is openly gathered by intelligence agencies it would still be problematic if it were used for unauthorized domestic investigations or operations. Intelligence agencies or employees might be tempted to use the tools at their disposal to compile information on political figures, critics, journalists or others, and to exploit such information for political advantage. That is not permissible even if all of the information in question is technically ‘open source.’”
Remember all the "open intelligence" talk, Obama law to shut down the whole internet, US government and military warning of a "cyber 9/11" and doing cyber war gaming?

Well lets look at what In-Q-Tel has done

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In-Q-Tel
Former CIA director George Tenet says,

We [the CIA] decided to use our limited dollars to leverage technology developed elsewhere. In 1999 we chartered ... In-Q-Tel. ... While we pay the bills, In-Q-Tel is independent of CIA. CIA identifies pressing problems, and In-Q-Tel provides the technology to address them. The In-Q-Tel alliance has put the Agency back at the leading edge of technology ... This ... collaboration ... enabled CIA to take advantage of the technology that Las Vegas uses to identify corrupt card players and apply it to link analysis for terrorists [cf. the parallel data-mining effort by the SOCOM-DIA operation Able Danger ], and to adapt the technology that online booksellers use and convert it to scour millions of pages of documents looking for unexpected results.[5]

In-Q-Tel sold 5,636 shares of Google Inc., worth over $2.2 million, on Nov 15, 2005.[6] The stocks were a result of Google’s acquisition of Keyhole, the CIA funded satellite mapping software now known as Google Earth.

As of August 2006, In-Q-Tel had reviewed more than 5,800 business plans, invested some $150 million in more than 90 companies, and delivered more than 130 technology solutions to the intelligence community.[4][7] In 2005 it was said to be funded with about $37 million a year from the CIA.[8]

Another AI technology risk management firm that did this for the US government was Ptech, now known as "GoAgile" which is no doubt going to be brought into this nightmare.

And who was on the board or a financier of Ptech, besides the al Qaeda "Al Kifah Group" heads?

Yasin al Kadi: top bin Laden financier
Muhammed Mubayyid: head of al Qaeda's Al Kifah branch(WTC 93 plot)
Soliman Biheiri - BMI President and Ptech Board member. Convicted of perjury
Musa Abu Marzook - SDGT leader of Hamas, laundered miliions through both companies.

Hussein Ibrahim - VP of both companies, and a director of the SAAR Foundation, umbrella group for more than a dozen terror-linked charities in Herndon, Virginia. They were raided by the Treasury Department in March 2002.

Yaqub Mirza, overall Executive of the SAAR Foundation charities, and a Board member of Ptech.. He?s also a Board Director of Amana Al-Qadi was Director of one of the largest charities ?Blessed Relief?, funded by

Khalid Mahfouz: billionaire bailout provider for George W Bush?s failing oil company in the 80s. He was also principle shareholder of the global outlaw bank BCCI, Bush Sr?s Iran-Contra conduit, and after its $20 billion collapse, described by prosecutors as the ?greatest financial fraud in world history

Two of Osama BinLaden s nephews.

Saleh Kamel (whose Saudi company provided a no-show job in San Diego for the man who housed two 9/11 hijackers. Kamel?s bank in the Sudan held millions in Osama Bin Laden?s accounts. Kamel and Mahfouz are both on the ?Golden Chain? list of Al Qaeda?s top 20 funders, seized during a Bosnian anti-terror raid.

"al Qaeda", or global Islamic jihadi terrorists are nothing but the useful windup toy of this system

And what's clear is that the same apparatus that gave Hitler the technology to process people into worker and death camps, the same system that brought us the PROMIS/INSLAW ordeal, BCCI, DARPA TIA/Digital Angel/IOA, ECHELON, Israeli communication spying(AMDOCS, Comverse, Varint) is surprise surprise being used to micromanage our every move...only, selling it as "hip and cool"

Hugh Manatee might not be that far off with the elite trending us through sophisticated psyops

However, even with the most sophisticated of technology, there still remains the oddity of life...the xfactor, the synchromaniacal cosmic giggle.

8bit, you forgot to ask who's doing the winding up. As one small example, there appears to be more to the story of Ptech than you indicate:

Image

Michael S. Goff, a lawyer from Worcester, Mass., ran Ptech from the beginning in 1994. Goff, who was responsible for the procurement of all Ptech software, also worked for the Mossad software company, Guardium.
Photo from Goff Communications. This photo and description of Mike's work at Ptech was removed shortly after I exposed his connection to foreign intelligence.

Michael Goff is the Jewish and Zionist son of B'nai B'rith super Masons who quit his legal practice in Worcester to start a company with some Lebanese Muslims and Saudi financing called Ptech in Quincy, Mass. Ptech is an example of the Arab cut-out I described above. It was an Israeli-run company designed to appear Muslim. Why would they do that, you ask?

Because Ptech was involved in taking over the computer networks of the U.S. government and military. 9-11 "truth seekers" actually presented the Arab facade of the Ptech cut-out at 9-11 conferences in 2002 in an attempt to further blame Arabs and Muslims for 9-11. We were not all deceived by this song and dance, however.

Oussama Ziade, a Lebanese Muslim immigrant who came to the United States in 1985, is said to have founded Ptech in 1994. But the company's original manager of marketing and information systems was Michael S. Goff, whose PR firm, Goff Communications, represented Guardium, a Mossad-linked software company.

"As information Systems manager for Ptech, Michael handled design, deployment and management of its Windows and Macintosh, data, and voice networks," Goff's web site said at the time I exposed Ptech's connection to the Mossad in April 2005. Goff also "performed employee training and handled all procurement for software systems and peripherals."

So Goff, who worked for Mossad's Guardium, was responsible for "all procurement for software systems" at Ptech. Can I make this any clearer?

I asked Goff, who left the Worcester law firm of Seder and Chandler in 1994, how he wound up working at Ptech. "Through a temp agency," Goff said, but he could not remember the name of the agency.

Why would a well-educated lawyer working in a firm in his home town suddenly become a Kelly Girl temp? Or was it an assignment through Sayan Temps of Mossad?

Goff told me that he did not know who had written the Ptech software code.

Thanks to Goff, however, this mysterious Ptech enterprise software wound up on all the U.S. government computers and played a key role in the confusion that prevailed on FAA, NORAD, and Air Force computers on 9-11. ...

Someone is playing a mindfuckery prank. I'd be more inclined to suspect actual people doing actual mindfuckery, like the criminals from the previous and current administrations instead of "the Universe itself." Of course, the Universe is a good person to blame, since no prosecutions can come from that.

It should be clear to most anyone who knows much about the conspiracy world that not only is the site linked to one post above- Rumor Mill News, is disseminating a lot of crap but that in particular the author of that piece, Christopher Bollyn, is responsible for writing a lot of very questionable material.

That said, I don't know enough about Ptech nor about the Jewish scientist that Bollyn focuses on to say how true or false any particular facts cited by Bollyn are- it may well be that the problem is in Bollyn's emphasis as much as anything else. But it certainly is important to point out that Rumor Mill News and Christopher Bollyn are not what should be considered "good sources"...

@Alice:

There's this amazing new 9/11 documentary, by far the most powerful one Ive seen to date(called "Core of Corruption")

If you go to the 1:10:00 mark, they cover in intricate detail the deep role
of Israeli companies and Mossad with spy networks, WTC companies,
telecommunications, and all sorts of mindblowing details linking Israel to
the 9/11 operation:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... corruption#

And of course, there is this:

Image

And this:

http://www.historycommons.org/timeline. ... 1_timeline

And finally this:

http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/975574.html
The Israeli newspaper Ma'ariv on Wednesday reported that Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu told an audience at Bar Ilan university that the September 11, 2001 terror attacks had been beneficial for Israel.

"We are benefiting from one thing, and that is the attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon, and the American struggle in Iraq," Ma'ariv quoted the former prime minister as saying. He reportedly added that these events "swung American public opinion in our favor."
Trust me, I don't think many here would argue that there is not a direct link between Israel and the events leading up to and the day of 9/11.

Bollyn is a strange one A_D, he seems to do geniune old fashioned investigative work, yet also does seem to have way too much anti-Israeli emphasis. My take on him is that it is worth reading him but carefully. The Guardium links with the ptech story were already well established, however my hunch is as follows:

Bollyn says: ptech has Israeli intel involvement, therefore is an Isreali cut-out
Indira Singh says: ptech is an Islamist cut-out, run by the Saudis/ CIA

These are not mutually exclusive the way they have been portrayed.

There are documented ties between the House of Saud and traditional US organised crime... in Florida as covered by Hopsicker.

The picture is also muddied by what are undoubtedly both spooky-oriented Islamist friendly and racist anti-Islamic factions in the FBI.

To me Bollyn is like other notable "anti-Semitic" sources: there is a certain portion of valid and/or interesting material, but there is a certain portion of rat poison- it's very, very important to be aware of this.

One of the biggest problems to beware of is the using "true facts" to lead to untrue conclusions, as known in the famous case of the blind men and the er...Octopus...

:D Kipling would like it!

I think that having in mind questions such as
"what are the pre-existing biases that this person shows, and how might these biases impact their story?"

"what information from this person am I myself pre-disposed not to believe?"

are useful.

The way I've always dealt with that is by harvesting data points and ignoring the author's conclusions altogether.

I mean, if I took the conclusions of Jeff Wells seriously, I would be depressed as fuck, you know?

Data matters, conclusions are just monkey opinions. Bollyn to Ruppert to Vallee to me. We're all wrong.

Could you be any more vague and slippery in your little ad hominem smear post? Especially when you warn us chickens that even if the facts Bollyn exposes are true, we should still fear his emphasis. There could be (gasp!) rat poison!!!

In contrast to that type of sssinister inssinuation, Bollyn not only names names, he also sources each fact he presents. If he's not a credible source, as you say, he should be very easy to discredit by simply showing where he's lied or deliberately distorted the truth in the past. If you could do that, it would be great, not to mention far more respectful of our intelligence.

Compared to what, the mainstream news? Based on what is known (much of which has been posted on RI) about the sleazy documented record of the racist, thieving, murdering zionist entity, there's no such thing as "too much anti-Israel emphasis". Indeed, too little "anti-Israel emphasis" is demonstrably much more dangerous, even fatal, than "too much".

This seems like just more gratuitous human-bashing. Not to be pedantic but aren't conclusions important data points as well? Personally, I am curious how individuals synthesize information into "cogent" opinions. And given the articles posted above, it appears that intel agencies share the same curiosity.

IMHO, articulated, voiced opinions are the warp and woo of human agency and give real insight into the power dynamics at play behind any set of facts.

again just my inherently meaningless take on things

@8bitagent: Takes important trends and trivializes their reception by breathlessly sprinkling the usual dismissive vocabulary ("ironically") and pretending the only fit worth mentioning is to an essentially useless meta-narrative ("NWO"). Never fails to reference Alex Jones, "CT," paranoia, "777," etc. But thank you for at least bringing up genuinely important and interesting items, before clouding the air around them.

@AlicetheK: Find the Jew! Never fails.

A US government contractor suspected of criminal activity is owned by Arabs with intel connections and has a Jew with a possible Mossad connection in a key position (assuming the job descriptions in the resumes/company PR actually apply).

Learning that, rational people might logically consider motives outside some narrow ethnic or religious agenda.

But racists can only ever allow for ethnic identity and agenda. (I'm not using that as an ephithet, it's merely the shortest applicable description.)

Just as the American right-wing racist will only See the Arab, your kind of racist will act as though merely mentioning the presence of a Jew suffices as proof that everyone in his vicinity, including his employers, are his puppets, dupes and victims.

You paste an article by Bollyn (from Rumor Mill News!) without giving a byline. Of course an uncritical citation from this author tends to disqualify. Almost everything he writes is Find the Jew propaganda. If you cut and paste from the Moonies or Scientology or CIA or Rush Limbaugh while disguising the link and without caveat or research of your own, you would just as rightly be called on it.

This twin fuck-you is not to imply that the two of you are on the same team, except insofar as your shared cause is to mystify and stupify (unwittingly or otherwise).

I invite you both to keep flooding your bullshit. I guarantee I won't compete for volume.
