I have to say there seem to be a lot of new people here all of a sudden.

November 1st. The day after Halloween.

Odd, but I welcome it. This place could use some more energy.

I have to say I don't miss Philip Centaur. He seemed to provoke people just for the hell of it, just to start fights. I really couldn't stand him!

I mostly just lurked & enjoyed from the sidelines, but I've been poking around on RI for a while. Every once in a while I'll get the urge to post. Moreso lately as my work scedules are quite different. :)

And ya, imediately thought Colbert with anything Sepka contributed.

I sometimes wonder if some folks here portray themselves a certain way just for shits & giggles, but are completely different in real life...

There's a fella called Just Another Dick that posts on the front page, I always get a kick out of him. He doesn't post in here, though?

Norton Ash can be brilliantly funny as well. Makes you wonder who he might be. :)

I can see that everyone is so twisted in grief over the departure of Posting Tulpa that they can't bring themselves to mention his passing. It's understandable. Denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance. I've personally settled comfortably into the last category.

Hmm. Sounds as if you may be on the cusp between anger and bargaining. Try not to be so hard-on yourself.

irridescent cuttlefish

This was the last thread he posted in on August 7th, 2008:

I say that because I think I would recognize his voice if he were posting under another name.

Here is his blog, which appears to have been dormant since September of 2006:

http://wwwtomorrowtoday.blogspot.com/

When I first found RI I spent all my time in the blog comments and I really enjoyed reading IC's thoughts. Although IC was fully cognizant of just how ugly and stupid the human race can be and is he always seemed to contain an irrepressible core of optimism and I enjoyed his sense of humor. He would occasionally disappear from the blog comments for long periods of time which as I recall was because he was so ill that he could not even sit and type at a keyboard or because he was hospitalized and could not get online. I don't recall exactly what illness he had, but I recall it being life threatening.

I hope he will be back. Thats what he said at least, "see you next year".
All the best to him, wherever he may be.

Yeah, he said goodbye in a weird place, Data Dump or something, so I think OpEd will be back.

I think that may be someone else, sunny. 11:11's account is still active.
