Re: The "show off your Avatar" thread
Mine was easy. Well, not really, i had to cap, crop and shrink from a Futurama episode. And i had to find the proper scene. Come to think of it, it was a pain in the ass.

I mostly lurk, but that might change.
Anyway, mine is the exploding head from the original Dawn of the Dead.

So many posters here are women and I never even knew it.
As of today 100107 mine is this old scan of an image from Fortean Times from (I think) publicity for the first X-Files movie.

But I'll probably change it fairly frequently.

I found you a good one. That HAL thingy makes me uncomfortable.beeline wrote:Going with HAL for now, until I can find a proper angry bee making a line for someone. There's lot of bees out there, they're just too goddamn happy. Ever meet a happy bee? Me neither.

I like to change avs often, as well.

I think we males are outnumbered here about 3 to 1.elfismiles wrote:Peregrine wrote:meh, me with a veil over my face. Friend of mine does some kick ass photography & I liked that one, plus you can't see my whole face.![]()

Re: The "show off your Avatar" thread
Never been the most prolific of posters round here, but due to some recent changes in workplace internet usage policies, I may be forced into lurk mode to large extent. Nevertheless, I figured I could buck the system long enough to register an avatar. I haven't a clue who the artist is, but thought this old (medieval? renaissance?...) woodcut of a werewolf seemed to fit well enough.
One light in the dark: the new board is much more readable on my phone. It's still a pain in the ass to write anything more than a sentence or two, but at least I can still lurk without having to worry about "The Man" looking over my shoulder. Cheers to all who worked on making the changes.

I dig it.
Seems like a lot of workplaces cutting down on net usage eh?

Because I like Vasarely. He went so well with hallucinogens back in the day.
