Other stuff I'm doing

Mastering "skip to my lou" for two fingers.

Medicating for an acutely infected wisdom tooth.

Nothing else.

looking forward to my holiday in the south west of WA with whole big family which starts friday afternoon,

supporting my wife who is being bullied at work in the public service

reading my book, The Proud Tower by Barbara Tuchman

writing a letter to the local council because the port is dredging toxic material and dumping it near my favorite beach and messing up the water right in the middle of summer

finishing the magazine i do the layout for
the question is why, who, why, what, why, when, why and why again?

I could tell you but it's all just horribly depressing.

Fighting the battle between doing some work or reading The Mouse and His Child

Waiting for some Cosmic fairy dust to enlighten me

Crumpets or toast for breakfast

Fifth cigarette of the day

contemplating whether its worth heading cross town to my friends for a joint or whether i'd be better just heading home after my long day at work,

contemplating whether to give 'commenting' at RI a miss for a while,
feel like the captain has ejected and the plane has crashed, and now the kids are forming tribes and we all now how that book ends
the question is why, who, why, what, why, when, why and why again?

I first read this as saying you were taking holiday in West Virginia, and I was "WTF."
The real issue is that there is extremely low likelihood that the speculations of the untrained, on a topic almost pathologically riddled by dynamic considerations and feedback effects, will offer anything new.

Walking the dogs.

Getting up way too early in the morning.

Deciding what to do with the next 40 years.

Edit: I hate typos.

Visiting the room next door that's been turned into an infirmary for a rescued cat who's (temporarily, hope, hope) blind, shaven, and wearing a toy dog's sweater.

Pretending I'm the mistress in charge of three dogs with a combined weight of 300 lbs.

Fantasizing ways I can make it to retirement and collect social security.

Realizing there very well might not be any social security.

Making more boxes.

Blowing gesso around with my air compressor and seeing it spatter and then making patterns with it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/svj/4283620134/

Wondering if I should tell my wife about my dream, I say "I had a dream last night" and she acts as if she didn't hear it.

Blow more gesso.

What the hay are you doing with wisdom teeth at your age? Do they do things differently in Canada, here in the states they are generally removed in your late teens.

Today I am hammering out a few silver bracelets. I picked up silversmithing as a hobby and sell them at the street fair for fun and extra cash.

The finished product looks similar to this with varying designs depending on my mood:

^^That's beautiful Percival.

Watching a Red Bellied Woodpecker peck away at the clogged portholes of the bird feeder so he and his bird mates can eat.

Listening to one of my roommates cut wood with his chain saw.

(Sweejak--I love working with gesso. It's magic.)
