Long time lurker here (maybe 6 years?), and I just wanted to throw my support behind everyone trying to make sense of this. I love how RigInt generally doesn't jump to conclusions. Fourthbase, my sympathies to you and your city (and to other members from Mass.). I admire your tenacity and spirit. Keep up the good work, even if that work is just to keep your eyes, ears, and hearts open.

Great job on that hat, barracuda. I was also just scanning images of black Red Sox hats, searching for white piping. I was coming to the conclusion that it wasn't a Red Sox hat (or at least a recent one) when you posted the gold hat image. Great work!

Man, it's so weird. These are my streets. I've haunted these exact blocks and spots my whole adult life, even as a teenager, spent hundreds of hours wandering and sauntering, smoked countless one-hitter pinches in the parallel alleys, drank gallons of beer at every non-fancy bar on Boylston, including Whiskey's. These are my people, my neighbors, my co-workers, my strangers-I-hold-doors-for, my yuppies-I-roll-my-eyes-at, my old-people-I-smile-at. I've laughed and cried and moped and meditated and shot the shit and bummed smokes and lent smokes and carried groceries and just walked and walked and walked, all along that stretch of Boylston from Mass Ave. to Tremont, but especially from Hereford to Arlington.

How are these two dudes with backpacks different than the other 500 dudes with backpacks around them? The video and pictures of them show absolutely nothing suspicious. They don't set down the packs anywhere- they're not even seen later without the packs. What are we missing?

And now you're at the groundzero of the 'new normal'. It's hard to keep up with everything today. Elvis impersonator sending poison to the Prez, Waco blown up nearly 20 years to the day of Waco/18 years to OKC(and an explosion there) The gun control fervor hitting a fever pitch. Uh, wasnt it last week we were told the most grave threat was North Korea?

Now again, they seem super sure it's these middle eastern looking guys. I mean, are these decoys or innocent bystanders/security?

Their skin tone and facial features. Notice all the "suspects"(Saudi kid, the two Moroccan teens) despite being innocent had their damn faces plastered everywhere as the 'suspects'

This is supposedly white hat dude with his backback sat down on ground which is ground zero for second bomb site, note the backpack on the ground where he is standing, this is part of the video that they have of him sitting it down but they have not released that video yet only the still pic.

They have a video from a store acorss the street showing the white hat guy sit his pack down at ground zero of second blast site and walk away, I posted still pic above of that, FBI has not released that full video yet.


They aren't trying to establish guilt, they are trying to identify them. It's probably best NOT to release particularly damning evidence for a few reasons:
1). Vigilantes. They are innocent until proven guilty, after all. Even if a video shows something that looks pretty damning, that doesn't mean they are guilty.
2). Evidence for future trial needs to not be seen by every possible future juror.

As per these being inside jobs, its not hard, they know who the radical clerics are, they know where the cells and potential radical muslims hang out, you send in an informant to start whispering things in people's ears, rile them up and get the ball rolling on an OP, these kids likely have no idea they could be part of something like that, for all they know they are carrying out the radical teachings of some local cleric or cell leader, who himself is likely an informant or useful idiot.

Sort of found this interesting, there were a lot of reports of loud explosions going on in a particular neighborhood the last few months, some are suggesting that the bombers were doing some testing. Makes sense, could be totally unrelated though but I have read of several accounts of explosions in and around Boston in the last few months that went unexplained. Surely these guys mae some test runs, why they would do that in a neighborhood and not out in the woods or something is beyond me.
