Being the Wuss that I am, watching that video reduced me to tears almost.

So, I then proceed to show this to people who I believe are "progressives". I preface the viewing by explaining that in my own honest opinion Bernie Sanders offers a different agenda.

The first guy, a Trump supporter, wails and screams at the cock-sucker Sanders, who , according to him ( and Alex Jones no doubt) didnt recieve a paycheck until the age of 40, cos he'd spent that much time living off the system. He never even saw the bird until I pointed it out to him.

The second guy, who says he's a Sanders supporter didnt see the bird either. And then said "So what?"

The third person, a lady, admitted that she knew nothing about politics, but also saw nothing unusual in this. I tried to explain this mathematically, by asking her how often a bird sits on a podium at a speech by a politician. I wondered about what odds I might get on this happening from the proffessional bookmakers, who are currently quoting Sanders as a no-hoper for the presidency at 20/1? We must all live in hope.

To be fair, all of these people were over 50. All of them are also my friends.

I just really hope the younger generation are more tuned in and less indoctrinated by reductionism than the rest of us.

Edit: trying to remember how to post a picture here. I put a bird on our Bernie sign, the same one from the Portlandia segment. I'm going to hit the rest of the neighborhood this afternoon, and there are dozens. I hope the neighbors won't mind. No Hillary signs around to deface, sadly. I guess her supporters are silent this year. Perhaps embarrassed. No one would dare endorse a repug around here, at least not publicly.

My boyfriend and I were moved to tears. My second boyfriend later messaged me to tell me he cried as well.
This is the first time I've ever felt hope for a presidential candidate. I hope I'm not too disappointed. We're seriously moving out of the states if trump wins.

BTW Sanders took every single county in WA. They had some young woman on the news crying about the loss and how important it is to have a woman in there (I agree but not her!). When I say she was crying that's not some dig. She was crying and very upset. Totally, if I knew her I would be forced to "mansplain" that she needs to calm down and that Sanders is clearly the best option if you are a liberal.
