Re: Hey there! Long time.
This is good news to me. I joined during Jeff's previous departure, so I've heard much about the halcyon days but never got a chance to experience them.
edit: Thanks for your efforts Willow, they are much appreciated

Well, hello Jeff. I'm glad to see you've overcome your bout with "bronchitis" and have decided to again shepherd your widespread flock.
Willow, your moderation was always conducted with an eloquence. I sure hope you'll still be participating in some discussions.
I sure hope seemslikeadream is still active. She's done a great job keeping the topics flowing.
I hope to soon again be able to participate more frequently. Best wishes to all.

Re: Hey there! Long time.
Nice to see you back with the intent to post again, Jeff. I love reading your longer pieces, if you have the time for that kind of thing anymore.
Thank you to Willow for your hard work making this place sane and engaging.

Yay! Welcome back, it's been a little cold and dark and sometimes the only sound was the howling of the wolves somewhere in the distance but we've been trying to keep the furnace going.
And thanks Project Willow for your service. I salute you.

Stefano has been mentioned a number of times, including by me. He has offered. Do it. Today.
I agree, but I think only Jeff can appoint mods, and we need at least two.

And I too. He sounded like a gentle soul. Such a loss.
I certainly empathise with the loss. My post was certainly not intended to cause any negitive feelings. And I do apoligise if it has. I was more interested in the in/outs of the message and quite intrigued by there NOT being a modern 'philosophy of technology', etc...
No problem at all Grizzly.
I have more than a little empathy myself regards the Unabomber but his means and that event hit close.
In 1975 Terence McKenna graduated from the Cal School of Natural Resources but I never met nor had heard of McKenna. I have three of his books but never heard his speak except later on internet.
Ted K, the Unabomber, also spent time at Cal. I have made several false starts of a post for the "gifted" thread regards my Cal experiences.
I would like very much, especially now that Jeff is here, for RI to become more active. I have lurked a lot for years under PufPuf93 and another earlier account.

Petrified portion of brain, section RI, reconstituting. Since your departure everything is closer to HAL's motherboard, like dust to a separator. It's so much weirder now, where will you begin? You will last until you nearly go mad again, or maybe go on even after. Beware of those who say they need you. All flowers know the darkness. Love is invisible to itself.
