I guess...

Post by robertdreed »

it all depends on what you mean by the term "shapeshifter."

I'm dubious of the idea that spiritual attainment is synonymous with "siddhis", or quests to unravel the mysteries of quantum physics and Being. For me, the role of human consciousness is to pursue a hookup to a pre-existing, eternal moral law, authored be some entity higher than the human bandwidth and its tropisms and biases. According to my own experience, I've done terrific things with "shapeshifting" into my light body from my fleshly body on occasion, but that means nothing in terms of spiritual attainment.

M=E/Csquared

That's a statment of matter, energy, and speed, not consciousness.

Edited by: robertdreed at: 7/31/05 7:59 pm

Anna,

Please don't let my review keep you from reading the book entirely. His description of the EHM racket and the World Bank is really interesting and useful. And it's corroborated by other things I've read. I just wouldn't drink the Kool-Aid about the personal matters he gets into

in case you were talking to me...

i haven't read any books by Henry Kissinger, either, and i've never met him in person. wanna hear me smear that geno-sadistic asswipe as well? actions speak louder than words. especially REPEATED actions.

where is the KNOWLEDGE we have lost in INFORMATION?

i am PAST connecting the dots. (have you read my global happiness plan?) Perkins is hardly the only source available to expose the ways murderous economic injustice is perpetrated and institutionalized.

i really despise people who profit off their inflicted atrocities. (sp?) when perkins is donating the book's profits to the peoples whose quality of life...or whose very lives...he arranged to steal, again and again, get back to me.

"Shapeshifters"

Post by chiggerbit »

What an absolutely perfect word to describe these creeps who lie, say one thing, do another, manipulate, cheat, disinform, inoculate, perform dirty tricks.....Bush, Cheney, Rove, Bolton, etc.. I love it! It is so good that I am going to call them this from now on. All of us should go forth and spread THE WORD. They are no longer the administration, they are the SHAPESHIFTERS.

Oh, what I would give for someone to do up a graphic for this. Maybe one with Bush shapeshifting from his earnest, pious look to the smirk to something in a hooded cloak. Or Karl shapeshifting into Miss Piggy, then into hog-nosed snake. Heeheehee.

Oooh... please don't drag the wonderful rodent-controlling hognose snake down by connecting it with Rove. How about a spitting cobra? --MaryK

...he looks so much like both Miss Piggy AND the hog-nosed snake. It would take so little graphical (is that the word I want?) shapeshifting.

...Donny Rumsfeld, every time he smiles I can see the head of a rattlesnake "grinning". Especially when it's THAT grin--the coy one of his that says, "I know I'm lying and you know I'm lying, but it's our little joke".

Your point about Kissinger is utterly without validity.

You know about Kissinger's actions -- you don't need to read a bok by him.

You don't know about this guy. You're smearing him without knowing jack about him.

I have to say I am appalled at the narrow-mindedness of many people on this board, not only on this subject, but on many many others. Obvious prejudice is way too common here.

Read his fucking book, or at least become more familiar with him before you smear him.

And he does in fact give a lot of his money back to the people he's trying to protect. Who are you to assume he does not?

AnnaLivia I couldn't agree with you more. Your knowledge and past experience, not to mention your intuition, is great for unmasking. Maybe you are right. I tend to lean your way. Maybe you are wrong, so what? I guess you didn't preface your commentary with enough caveats for the crowd (It could possibly be, we don't know for sure, but.......... Having lived abroad and shapeshifted you would think............). You know, don't say what you really think, be more authoratative and slightly disengenuous, people like that. Make like you're writing a god damn essay.

When everyone else reaches your level of thinking on Perkins then you can say it like it is and all will agree without a condescending word in the house.

ie: if someone disagres with another why don't they just say that instead of telling them they are "thinking wrong" or not being "nice".

p.s. Proldic, you're one to talk. I like it when you and AnnaLivia say it like it is. Your words don't come from a place of hate (racial, sexual, religious etc) but just seem to be putting the pieces of the puzzle together differently.
