2. In Northhampton, by any chance would you remember the name of that little old fashioned diner nestled under the overpass bridge on the main drag going up into town? It was red paneled with the standard silver metal when I knew it in about 90.

I have enjoyed many of the accounts on this thread and wanted to offer my own, as this was a fairly synchronous time in my life. I have tried to write these events down as accurately as possible but it was over 15 years ago so I may have forgotten or altered some things without meaning to. I did change all of the names, and obviously any dialogue is paraphrased from memory. I like music and tend to think/process in a musical fashion, so I revisited some of the music I was listening to back then to help me get my head back in that timeframe. It helped me to write this so I thought I would include the youtube links. The imagery of the videos certainly has no bearing on the story, but the music may be nice for those readers who are the same age as me. Thanks for reading.

A friend's mother had just gotten a job as a salesperson for one of those bulk meat companies ...y'know, the kind where you buy a shit-ton of steak and they throw in a freezer...Well, one day I had gone into town to visit my friend and her mom spent the better part of the morning trying to sell me one of the 'packages' her company offered. I demurred. For one, we aren't huge steak eaters, but it just seemed like $1200 better spent elsewhere...besides I figured the hubby would be pissed if I spent that much money on meat even if they did throw in a chest freezer, especially as we had never discussed doing so.
I left that afternoon, proud of myself for my restraint in abstaining and diplomacy in turning her down, and drove home. When I got home, my husband greeted me at the door somewhat sheepishly. "I hope you won't be mad," he said, "but this morning one of those salesmen from some meat company came around and I figured we needed the freezer anyway..."
I suppose I should have looked to see if there was an astrological aspect in Taurus...

Today multiple synchs have all come to a head. Here's the run-down.
My very good friend and "ex-girlfriend" texted me that she is pregnant. Her due date is 12/12.
My birthday is 12/12.
Her grandfather's birthday is 12/12.
My GF's best friend has a birthday of 12/12, his name is Joey.
My best friend co-worker person had a first boyfriend named Joey -- his birthday? You guessed it 12/12.
My brother's name is Joey, his birthday is tomorrow -- May 19th. My "best friend co-worker person"? Her birthday is tomorrow, May 19th as well.
12/12 happens to be the most sacred of Mexican holidays. Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
When myself and this ex-girlfriend moved in together and moved out to Seattle we rescued and extremely sick cat and had to force feed her for over a month while vets told us to euthanize. For some reason I named this cat "Lupe". I had no idea of the date's significance.
Her nurse at the OBGYN is named Lupe.
Do the math. . .

A pic of Lupe forthcoming -- the most docile and human-like cat you could ever imagine. A living stuffed animal.
Does this shit happen to others too?
But wait there is more!
On edit: There isn't any more. Ugh I hate this clearwire modem. I've been attempting to get connectivity for like fucking the last hour. I don't know how that slipped in there -- double posted to boot. I did write it, but I took it out and then I sent the post and the modem died. Fuck clearwire -- now known as "Clear".

Having come from different countries and falling in love at work, Alex and Donna Voutsinas always believed fate played a hand in them getting together.
But now the pair have discovered their destiny could have perhaps been determined when they were small children.
Days before their wedding 20 years later, Mr Voutsinas was looking through his fiancée's childhood photos and was shocked to recognise his father in the background of a family snap at Disney World in Florida as his future wife, then aged five, posed in the foreground.

The plane hit the 30th-floor apartment numbered 40ABG, owned by Dr. Parviz Benhuri and his wife Ilana,[17] the latter of whom was seated in the room when the plane crashed and sustained shrapnel injuries and burns. Her housekeeper was also present and helped her escape.[18] The plane also hit an apartment owned by a woman who was in a coma for a month following an incident at the 1997 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade when high winds pushed the Cat in the Hat balloon into a lamp post, and the debris in turn hit the victim. She was not in her apartment at the time of the crash, although was en route.[19] Among the other residents of the mixed-use high-rise is novelist Carol Higgins Clark, a resident on the 38th floor, who was interviewed by CBS Radio after she arrived at the building shortly after the crash. Then-New York Mets third-base coach Manny Acta also lives in the building, though he was away when the accident occurred.[20]
