I don't know-- I really like cats. They're like, my favorite animal, so I feel personally offended right now. But I can (sort of) see where you're coming from. Nothing new.

She would be insane.

Wrong. You kid, right?

Know statistics on reading?
Everyone sees the ads, the posters, the covers. Few statistically watch/read the whole thing.
This is so basic to psyops and I've been pounding this for years....I can't believe you ignore this.

I think ignoring the ostensible message in books and films is really one of the weakest aspects of your analysis.

Wrong. I don't ignore the content. But I start at the beginning, the cover/poster/ad.
And I analyze the content much more closely revealing how it is designed to deliver psyops without seeming to.

Again, that is soooo basic to psyops, I can't believe you ignore this.

The subtext, the more deeply hidden the better, is all that matters to you, and perhaps rightly so in the context of a UFO conspiracy forum. Happily, that's not the case with most people.

Wha?? Was that a meme-reversal? Did you just equate being savvy on subtext with being a UFO buff??
I've exposed how psyops was designed into the UFO hoax and reject people who keep spewing it.

I don't expect works of pop culture to spark or drive revolutionary politics on the ground, but inasmuch as they work to show totalitarianism in a poor light, and highlight the cruelty of state oppression, I can be thankful for that.

You're missing the counterpropaganda decoys of exactly that, REAL WORLD "cruel state oppression."

There are plenty of films and books that attempt to instill patriotism and militarism directly to the viewer, so I appreciate those that don't.

Wrong. Obvious is for one mindset/capability. Tricky and subtle is for other brains.

the theme of the film is clear -

Wrong. see all above.

Regarding "mockingbird", it's worth keeping in mind that code names like this are chosen for their very ability to hide as completely innocent and innocous words. How is it that they are able to do that? Because these words are commonly used without any reference to the codenamed operation. Shocking.

Wha? That made no sense at all.

Care to support that assertion? I suppose that's why the rate of smoking in the US has decreased by half in the last forty years, because that clever trick is working so well.

Wow. No logical refutation in that one from you again. Hmm.

MayDay wrote:Oy. I'm off to a hopeless start, apparently.

Nonsense, you're quite right to question these kinds of posts. They're silly. Worse than that, they form a kind of propaganda of their own, in which artworks which denigrate fascism are consistently twisted against themselves to become, in Hugh's polemic, their own opposite.

Another meme-reversal dismissal of CIA psyops?
'Mockimgjay' and 'The Mockingbirds' just isn't obvious upon examination and I'm an eeeevil fascism cover-up artist?
Alrighty then.... :!:

Very educational thread, I think.

Reminder that Hugh has made 9626 posts (4.14 average per day) since 23 Nov 2005 yet has zero following for his ideas. Even the timecube guy had a few people at least pretending to subscribe to his theories and making their own websites about them.

He doesn't even seem to really post them anywhere else online as far as I can tell and this seems to be the place most receptive to his notions yet, even from the open minded posters here, he can barely ever muster more than a grudging acknowledgment of his having linked to some interesting material for research, or that he actually had an ok idea for a moment but then ruined it with scattershot free-association on the 'keyword', or just kneejerk emotionally-led defence of him against 'trolls'.

Try telling Hugh gently that his equation might be a wee bit less than mathematically stringent proof, and by Jove, dearie me, you'll be sent off with a flea in your ear, and no mistake, I tell you.

Because here's Hugh's Equation:

Word X reminds me of word Y, therefore HINT HINT + duh + WAKE UP SHEEPLE + eyeroll-smiley.

The worst thing is: I am not joking, nor am I even exaggerating for comic effect.

You forgot the part where someone calls him out on some really obvious flaw and he instead of addressing the issue just starts copypasting massive tl;dr rehashes of his previous posts on unrelated topics

This thread is so not worth it, but...
Really?
Adamant deniers?
Are you aware of where you are?
Do you just randomly spam your theories around the web, or are you only given a soapbox on RI? Nevermind. The question has been asked and ignored for too long to even be relevant at this point.

You should be happy for what you have- an intelligent forum where you can broadcast your suspicions amongst those who can (kinda sorta) see where you're coming from and won't simply dismiss you off hand. I doubt you'll find that anywhere else on the web.

You've got it. Now either drop out of society completely, which is mostly what I've done ([precarious at best, but damned interesting :lovehearts: ) , or try your best to forget, cause you can't have both.

Your response to 'G Force', Mac?
