So I wonder if they're not basically decoys, aka patsies, like the CIA prof? The problem with him is, how is he supposed to have radicalized little brother when his own politics are apparently anything BUT radical? If young Tsarnev was influenced it seems more likely he'd enlist in the marines than plant a bomb in Boston. Unless as justdrew suggested they thought were helping out in a drill. I also wonder if they were ever actually there. They seem awfully indifferent to any bomb action if they were.
You've all seen the original Manchurian Candidate, right?
Appearances can be deceiving. Truth can be as strange as fiction.
Williams is the guy who asserts there is no link between AlQ and Chechen rebels. This was a very important notion during the inquiries before Sep 11 as testified by Colleen Rowley and others. Currently USA is supporting the rebels in Chechnya as part of great uncle Fuller's soft controlled islam initiative, that he started with Iran Contra and continued into Afghanistahan Syria etc etc . It is therefore not surprising if the Russian FSB looked askance at Tamerlan during his last trip and monitored him, suspecting perhaps he was a conduit of support to the rebels, as per USA foreign policy. . Nor is it surprising if FBI suspected the brothers of being agents of FSB, there is family history .
Williams therefore is not a radical except in the sense that he legitamizes the Chechen struggle , which is fine for now, but gets tricky when you want Putin 's support agreement blind eye over Syria. Which has not happened . USA wants to keep Russia busy in Chechnya while protecting the potential oil pipelines and maybe the drug routes.
Me I wonder what happened in Dzhohar's head when he googled his great uncle and his high school mentor and saw his relation to the 2 with fresh cynical eyes.
