That's the question I've been waiting to ask in the gender thread. If the poll can be taken as roughly accurate than there are a mere 15% of the members here that identify as female. One more voted this morning.
Is this place really that unfriendly to women? If it is then I guess I am more clueless than I thought. Rarely do I see straight up hatred of women here. Lunkheads with no clue? Sure. But out and out hatred? I don't see it. If anything it seems to me this place is somewhat more respectful of women than most. I mean go check out Gdlkprdctns. Ugh. That's setting the bar pretty low, I know, but still.
Ladies? Is it really so awful around here?
Maybe the level of discourse just isn't sophisticated enough?
I really don't know.

Look up the statistics of gender by occupations and areas of interest and you might discover that there might be a difference and that the Rigorous Intuition forum is not to blame for it, although apparently some people wish it was RI's fault.

Yeah but in real life, women love the RI bread and butter just as much as men.
